The SilverLake Art Collective

I was raised in Jamaica, BWI and New York City before moving to California.  It was in New York at age 6 at a ceremony signing that I  had my first showing at the World's Fair with  3 

art pieces on display and were buried in a time capsule to be opened in 100 years.  From that experience making art became the center of my life. I graduated high school with scholarships to Art Center School of Design, Pepperdine University

and graduated from Chouinard Art Institute.  I taught drawing and for 15 years earned a living as a Fashion Artist for department stores and Fairchild Publications as the first California artist at Women's Wear Daily.  Many years later I earned my M.A. 

in Clinical Art Therapy at Immaculate Heart College.  My art has been a pivotal part of my life and identity.  I draw people, create collages and Heart paintings influenced by meditation.
