Hearts have completed the shock signings of two of Hibernians current playing squad.
"Zibi" Malkowski has been watched by the Tynecastle club for the past two years and has impressed boss Valdas Ivanauskas. He joins the club from Hibernian for an "undisclosed" fee on a 4 year deal, fueling the rumour that Craig Gordon May indeed be departing for Arsenal during this transfer window.
It is not clear however if Zibi will be used solely as a goalkeeper for Hearts as he currently has the highest assist rate of all time for the Tynecastle club.
Amadou Konte also moves to Tynecastle from Hibernian where he scored one goal in two seasons. Ivanauskis is said to be delighted at this "coup" from his city rivals although the only direct quote we have is "Question next". It is however obvious that Konte will add another dimension to Hearts attack.
The 25-year-old, often reffered to as "The Mali Magician", has previously played for Wisla Plock in Poland and Greek side FC Panionios, scoring, literally, a handfull of goals.
It has come as a bit of a shock to the Hibs faithful who are said to be "gutted" at such short sightedness by the board as they see yet another starlet walk away for very little.
Meanwhile, Chilean striker Mauricio Pinilla is hoping to end his contract with Hearts and return to Italy after receiving an offer from Brescia.
"This is a moment of the year in which you have to make decisions," he told La Tercera. "The transfer window is open and I would like to return to Italy where I have the chance to restart my career.
"Brescia is one of the teams that wants me and I want to accept that proposal as a personal challenge."
