Sky Dive for Dogs Aid

For the love of dog - I'm taking the plunge!

Welcome!

Hello Everyone

It's me  - Sinead known to some as Blondie! Thank you for visiting my page! For those of you who know me, you will defintely know about our Bichon Frise - Kobi, who we got from a rescue centre in November of 2006 called Dogs Aid. I have decided to take the plunge and jump 10,000 ft  to raise money for the sanctuary as they are desperately seeking funds at the moment. I will be doing the skydive towards then end of August with Sky Dive Ireland.

The latest figures show 24,000 dogs were abandoned and 14,000 dogs were put to sleep in Ireland in 2007 alone. Without the help of rescue centres throughout the country this figure would be alot higher. Through my own personal experience I have seen the hard work, patience and dedication that these centres contribute to helping animals in need.

Please take a look around this site to find out what a worthy cause this is. Dogs Aid is a registered charity - CHY 13174. Our story can be seen on http://www.dogsaid.ie/forever-families/3-forever-families/87-kobi-snowy. There are before and after photos of Kobi on this site (see Kobi- Then and Now link), and this is just one Happy Ending. If anybody wants to sponsor me that would be great, and very much appreciated! I will be adding updates over the course of time. You can donate via PayPal by pressing the "Donate" Button below.  Please ensure you leave name and a note with your donation. If I raise over 880 Sky Dive Ireland give the DVD of the jump for free, and I will be glad to share it if I can upload onto this site.

Skydive was scheduled for August 16th but cancelled due to torrential rain- this means I will be doing it in September - a date to be decided soon, and also means more time for raising more money for a worthy cause!
