- FictionPress - FictionPress is a growing network of over half a million writers/readers, and home to over 900,000 original works. As a writer, this is a place to showcase your creativity and for a reader, FictionPress is an opportunity to feast to your heart's content.
- NaNoWriMo - Short for National Novel Writing Month, this program is designed to encourage young writers to produce a novel within a certain time limit -- one month. Taking place during the whole month of November, the goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.
