Eventually I'm going to post some additional pictures here (as soon as I figure out how to correctly use my printer's scanner function, wish me luck--no, wait, wish me technical prowess instead!).
My family was featured on the cover of the January 2007 edition of a local family magazine, the picture was taken the week of Thanksgiving, and for once I don't hate how I look, so now all of you have to see it too! (There was some schmutz on the paper by my face, but it sort of looks like a mysterious scar...)
On the release night for the seventh and final installment in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, my son Connor (12) dressed up as Ron--complete with his 'Chudley Cannons' team shirt, wizards robes, VERY orange hair, freckles, wand, and of course RAT (the part of Scabbers was played by his faithful pet Ginny). He was a big hit, with people stopping to take pictures with him and ooh and ahh over his rodent friend!
After staying out all night with a severe case of Potter-mania, Connor went on the MDA Poker Run today with his Grandpa. I'm going to sit here all day and try not to worry myself an ulcer. Below is a touching picture of a boy and his hog:
