The first utility is of Dima Software's authorship - an AGS-specific version of UHS, called AHS, of course. The file also includes hint files for 6 Day Assassin (made by me), A Day in the Future (made by me too), Alien Rape Escape, Pleurgburgh - Dark Ages, LarryWilco and Permanent Daylight, PLUS a template, because - YES, you can create your own files with this! Well worth checking out! Might it make the "Hints and Tips" forum obsolete? ;)

But THIS one was made by Matthew Griffiths, and it's verrrrry interesting and well worth checking out - a visual dialogue editor!

Next up, we've got a font editor made by Radiant, which allows editing ttf, sci and bmp font files! Way to go, Radiant!

Now, a pre-configured palette. Now, don't ask me where I got it, I don't remember anymore. But it supposedly eliminates most palette fiddling, as it's a faithful reproduction of the SCI palette. I think. Don't hold me to it, I don't even USE the palette anymore.
SCI Palette file
And another helping hand! This time it's for dealing with palettes. A super-handy tool that essentially serves for copying slots out of palettes and placing them in our OWN palette. Ghormak made it for MrColossal, but now it's in the hands of the people! Go Marx!

This one is of Janik's invention. Quite an inventive lad. And quite an incentive he made, to encourage you to actually use all the sounds you want in AGS without havinf to resort to a notebook to keep track of what sound is what! I give you his very own AGS Sound Manager! Maybe Netmonkey doesn't need to work on his media manager plugin anymore. ::)

Seems like people are all for neat little utilities that load up faster 'n' AGS and serve as storage. :) Candle's program does just that - stores snippets of code quickly, painlessly... give it a shot!

Right-o - now let's get serious. This one is called Escultor 2.0, and you'll need it to use the "3d Characters Plugin" (you can find in this page). It lacks documentation and tutorials, and, as you can see in it's official page, it's last update has been a long time ago. You'll have to get dirty with it, experiment and guess. Still, from little I know of these things, it seems like a decent, relatively easy, reasonably powerful program.

Well, an alternative which you can also use is MilkShape3D. It just isn't freeware.
Here's the link to MilkShape3D's homepage
And to finish in a grand note, here is what is probably the best AGS companion - honest! Rodekill's "Wurd Problems" is a simple utility that divides your game notes and general designing notes into neat little categories, making it easy to read, access, and even doodle a bit on a very basic... well, "doodler". Coupled with the integrated mini-browser that's set to the AGS mainpage, the forums and some other AGS-related sites (but not this one, unfortunately ::) )... well, you see there's a reason why I say it's the best AGS companion!
