The alpine skiing which is considered the "king" sport of the wintry season, is learned and practiced all over the world only on sloping and snow-covered sides hill.

Indeed, the alpine skiing can be learned and practiced only on slopes covered with snow and enough sloping so that the sportsman's sliding on the skis under the influence of the gravity force will have to overcome both the brake effect produced by the friction of the skis with the snow surface, and the slow down realized during the side-slip turnings.

The skier’s try to make the “transition” from snowplough turnings to turnings with skis kept in parallel position can be done only by imitating the experienced skiers for a long period of time.

Looking at these pictures you can see a 12 years old school girl who is skiing mastery, with the skis in a parallel position and making turnings in a room on a smooth and not covered with snow surface.

The sport girl performs linear movement by sliding using her own forces towards the direction of the skis in movement, and in the same time performs swinging turnings.

While sliding on the slope under the force of gravity, a sportsman performing artistic ski using swinging turnings will move with a higher descend speed because the slow down specific to side-slip turnings in the alpine ski is slightly diminished.

The swinging turning characteristic to artistic ski is made up of a series of basic movements which can be learned in a specific order defined by the undersigned, indoors on smooth surfaces followed by an custom on smooth and covered with snow slopes.

The sportsmen, possible performers both in alpine ski and cross-country ski, by learning the specific movements, will benefit of an important increase of the speed both in sliding on slopes and in horizontal movements.

In the same time, the tourism industry will know a major development, taking benefits from an unusual program for the winter resorts.

Today, the activity in these resorts takes place only 3 or 4 months a year, including learning and practicing alpine skiing, suspended transportation of the sportsmen, rearranging of the surfaces covered with snow, and in some resorts, adding the necessary artificial snow.

When the snow melts away, the activity in these resorts will decrease or will be stopped, affecting both the proprietors and the employees, who are to be dismissed.

In order to have a permanent activity I recommend the proprietors of these resorts a pragmatic and unusual approach of revitalization of these resorts by creating schools for learning and practicing a new sport discipline called ARTISTIC SKI, which is in fact a lofty alpine ski.

This new sport discipline can be practiced and learned in any kind of geographical areas, not only in the summer time, but also in winter, both on snow covered hills and on smooth indoors surfaces.

In order to realize this the following administrative requests have to be fulfilled:

1. A room with smooth surface necessary for both learning and improving of the artistic ski, individual or in groups of maximum 10 persons.

2. Training of special instructors for this new and unusual sport discipline.

3. An aggressive advertising on the local and national TV channels with persons practicing the artistic ski.

The undersigned as the initiator of this new and unusual sport discipline I put myself under the obligation, on the base of an negotiable contract to teach the possible new artistic ski instructors.

Trainer,
