background.
Jeremy Blette had a loving family to greet him when he was born. Henry and Madeline, his caring and wonderful parents, and Amanda, his easily amazing sister, doted on him like no tomorrow. He was certainly loved, there was no doubt about that.

Not everything could remain well forever. Jeremy learned fast that he would always play second banana to his sister, in almost every aspect of life. She excelled at school and extracurriculars, whereas he took a while to find his footing. It seemed like whatever Amanda tried, she was instantly good at; everything came naturally to her. Jeremy became her most devoted audience member, showing up at every play, recital, game, or competition. He would watch his sister intently, wishing he could be more like her, as talented as she was. Eventually, their dad let Jeremy be in charge of taping Amanda, and from then on he became obsessed with being the ultimate voyeur. He loved letting the lens work as his medium, and in his inferiority to his sister, Jeremy found his calling.

Movies and the art of filmmaking almost became his life. For a young kid, he spent a lot of time asking his parents if he could walk into the center of town and go to Blockbuster. He wanted to watch a new movie every night, but his parents limited that to once a week. He explored all of the genres, but he found thrillers and action films the most compelling. So much happened, and the emotion and feelings that were put into the good ones definitely inspired Jeremy. His parents got him a camcorder for his twelfth birthday, and he went wild with it. It was around that time that he started to discover more independent, experimental films. He still remembers the exact night when he snuck a copy of Fight Club into the house while his parents were out, and it completely shook his entire little existence. It still remains his favorite movie, and he worships the ground Fincher walks on. Movies like that, ones that shocked the viewer to their core and showed an exemplary command of visual and viscera beauty, were the ones he wanted to make. He knew then what he wanted to do with the rest of his life.

He kind of floated through the rest of his schooling, especially high school. He didn't form many close friendships, and relationship were few and far between. His one torrid affair with one of his older sister's male friends confirmed what he had questioned about his sexuality, but their was no grand coming out. His parents were supportive as always. His sister patted him on the head and said she had a feeling. She never really supported him the way he did her, but they remain close, and he still idolizes her to this day.

Now, everything seems to be secure and content in Jeremy's life. For the first time, he feels slightly confident in himself. He still has problems opening up to people right away and prefers to remain somewhat shy and reclusive (he calls it mysterious). He films constantly, and has a couple projects on his reel that he is really proud of. He knows his education at Pace University isn't the best, but it's gotten him some contacts and given him access to people and contests that he wouldn't have been able to reach normally. His love life is wonderful and tricky, but he's happy. For the first time in his life, Jeremy can say he's more than just content: he's found a good little slice of happiness.

quick facts.
• He has a tattoo on his right side along his ribs: I am Jack's smirking revenge. It's to commemorate his Fight Club and Fincher love.
• Rarely goes anywhere without his camera. It's as essential to his as his phone, keys, or wallet.
• The relationship he is currently one is the only lasting one he's ever been in. He's had hook ups before, but nothing that serious.
• He has a fear of flying, but specifically on a plane. It's completely irrational, but he'll argue with you about the validity of it for hours.
• Lucky is the person who he can open up to within in the first few months of knowing him. He could count the number of good friends he has on two hands, and he likes it that way.
• He has a huge crush on Ryan Gosling as of late, and he feels completely ashamed for it. But he can't help himself.
• He wishes he was funnier, but he's just awkward.
