Understanding WHOs New International Health Regulations

David Heymann, WHO Assistant Director-General for Communicable DiseasesThe
Global Health Council, in cooperation with the World Health
Organization (WHO), had a forum discussing the new International
Health Regulations:
http://www.who.int/csr/ihr/en/
The focus was how the regulations affect identifying and responding to
health emergencies and how they may affect the work of your
organization. We also discussed how NGOs and health professionals
should partner with government agencies regarding events of concern.
