|Answer : 4 Boys and 3 Girls.|
2 1 Conditions are not satisfied.
4 3 Condition are satisfied.
Why we tried with small numbers ? Can you explain :
According to the puzzle
No of boys = Half the number of girls + one
When B = 6 G = (6/2) +1 = 4 ; 6 & 4 are not consecutive numbers.
Let us try with one more number.
When B = 8 ; G = (8 / 2) + 1 = 5 ; 8 & 5 are not consecutive numbers.
By mere observation we can see that when the number of boys are more, the difference between the boys and girls are also in increasing order.
So it is possible only with small numbers.
