Favourite aspect of competitions : The adrenaline, seeing other squads routines, meeting old friends!
If you played american football, what position would you be : I'd like to be a wide reciever, scoring touchdowns and all, but they dont get to hit people, so a linebacker.

Name: Beccy Small (sorry Mum, Rebecca!) D.O.B : 3rd May 1986 Place of Birth : Rotherham, Yorkshire (woowoo!) Nickname : Nemo!!! Yeah baby!! Apparently that's what you get for being freaked out by the sick and twisted species that is fish!!! Eeeeew they shouldn't have ever been invented! Year at uni : 1st Position: Front (front base love baby!!) I couldn't be a different position to my twin! Also apparently it's not normal for a flyer to kamiaze across the room when attempting double bases! I personally thought it added a certain contemporary twist to the art of flying but whatever! It will catch on soon enough! Games or competitions : Hmmm controversial!! Well games kick ass because we are actually cheering FOR people not TO people so it gives us a bit of "woowoo" but competitions are super cool because it's a whole day of cheerleading and we get to show other people what we can do and they apparecate it more because they're in a similar boat! Plus there's a crazy man on the microphone who sings randomly, I think he has tourette's! Favourite aspect of american football : the tight pants!! They do it for me, yum yum yum lycra is God's way of making sure I smile! Favourite aspect of competitions : Haven't competed in any yet, but the one I went to see was ace because there was lot of cheerleader love in the room and it was really good to see other routines and ideas! If you played american football, what position would you be : A wide receiver would be cool because I get proper freaked out when people chase me so I'd get to see how fast I can actually run, but quarter back would be great for the view if I was the only female on the team!! (again, the pants!!) Favourite game : Birmingham in the play-offs, I know we didn't win but there was soooo much spirit there and everyone was going crazy, it showed a real sense of support for the boys! Favourite cheer : erm.... I don't really know, I kinda like hey yell green!! Simple but catchy! And I'm not too keen on push them...no...drag them hard....back...hit them back...hard...push them somewhere!??!!? For that reason, I get them both confused!! Favourite aspect of training : The feeling when you do a stunt for the first time and you're like "WOAH! I was part of that!" I love going to North Weald too, great facility! (apart from the rings!) Favourite Hurricane : hmmm well Issam coz he's like a girl hehe and Keenan because he's so simple and walked around asda with a peg on his shirt! and for capturing the fall of love on camera! Legend! Favourite drink : Tea all the way!!!! yum yum!! But also malibu and orange juice!! Favourite food : um... I think pasta! or caesar salad!! But not fish!! And no mushrooms!! Experience with cheerleading : Just Sirens!! Actually, I went once at home but it wasn't proper cheerleading! Your own aspirations in cheelreading : to compete at national level (bring on the forward rolls!!!) and to so a pike jump without being scared of repeating the strawberry incedent injury! Favourite aspect of Competitions:The competing i love as i do really enjoy it when i'm on the mat (blowfish everyone), also being with the whole squad when we win is fantastic. If you played American Football what position would you play? I wouldn't, i'm not a fan of playing competitive sports, if i was forced i'd invent a new position of the person who runs away screaming after the snap! Favourite game:The Birmingham game in the first year was the best win ever Favourite cheer:Hey yell green,or our cheesycheesy comp cheer which i love Favourite aspect of training: when things go perfectly and when you nail that difficult stunt. Favourite aspect of Competitions: Finishing a knackering routine with a fantastic stunt and hearing the whole crowd cheerig for us!
If you played American Football what position would you play? Erm, quaterback looks like fun, cos you get to call all the plays (49-26-3-HUT!)
Favourite game: both birmingham games this season were really fun as they were the main challenges of the season, even if we did lose.

Name: Helen Ann Stoy D.O.B : 22nd May 1985 (presents more than welcome) Place of Birth : Exeter, Devon Nickname : Barney (simpsond not big purple dinosaur!)
Year at uni : 1st Position: Base
Games or competitions : it’s a tricky one how do you decide between freezing your tits off for three hours and almost peeing yourself for a whole day. Games rock especially the bit in the pub after and the way I manage to lose all self control and the ability of speech each week but competitions are probably better cheering wise cos you get to do better stunts and things e.g. ice cream and cake!.
Favourite aspect of american football: the feeling in the air when everyones really psyched up for a game Favourite aspect of competitions: when you know you’ve the done your best performance and the adrenaline rush you get. If you played american football, what position would you be : Guard Favourite game probably the 2nd Birmingham game it’s the only game where I experienced probably every emotion known to man kind and some new ones! Favourite cheer; does the superbowl cheering of love count? I like our competition cheer cos it sums up the squad, at games though I like we like it we love it cos it means we’ve just scored
Favourite aspect of training; stunting especially when you get a new stunt to work for the first time
Favourite Hurricane : Matt but will have to change it next year cos he’s an old fogie and won’t be playing anymore. Favourite drink; Ribena light or orange juice and lemonade, I know shocking its not alcoholic
Favourite food :! Pizza, the delivery people know me by name and worry when about me if I don’t order at least twice a week. Experience with cheerleading : sirens, and a couple of times at o’s where a slightly crazy lady tried to measure my nips! Your own aspirations in cheerleading :maybe to actually do a cartwheel would be great, compete in America!!!!! How cool would that be! Why did you join the Sirens; me and chuck went after a crazy blond Britney wannabe accosted us at the freshers fair I think we feared for our lives, she was cleary mentally unstable! But seriously went along to see what it was like and then realized it was full of amazing and crazy people who are all fantastic people and graet friends. That’s the end of my soppiness for one day
Ideal man : Someone who makes me laugh, who could make me cry but would never want to, who loves me for who I am and will buy me ribena every day for the rest of my life J aka matt |
