We are a squad that cheers for the university American Football team, the Hertfordshire Hurricanes.We cheer on the sideline every Sunday, rain or shine, mostly in the rain, wind and even the odd hail storm (Essex guys!) We have followed the boys all the way to the college bowl, where we performed at half time for the spectators.
We train every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We also have games on Sunday, and a Saturday session for those attending games. At trainng sessions, we focus upon fitness, flexibility, stunting, learning new cheers for games, practicing old ones and practicing for competitions.
We have competed in two competitions, Bca University competition and BCA Nationals, both in the dance sections. We recieved honours at the Uni comp and enjoyed ourselves at both competitions!
In 2004/2005, we will be entering both these competitions again, and some others hopefully! We will be entering both cheer and dance this time round.
Within our squad we have three girls who have represented Great Britain by cheering for the Great British Bulldogs. We also have one Girl who is part of the Universities all star squad, the Unicorns.
