Soroptimist: Best for Women

Chartered in 1937

We are part of an international service organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls locally and throughout the world.

Our club was chartered in 1937.
We are celebrating our 70th birthday this year.

Some historical facts about us: We donated the first kidney dialysis machine to Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital. We also donated an organ to Gilda's Club in Royal Oak.

interests Fundraising activities include an annual Las Vegas Night, White Elephant Auction and other smaller activities. Smaller fund raisers include old cell phone collection for HAVEN, personal care items for the START (rape) center.

Service activities include Breakfast with Santa ( for 22 yrs ), sponsoring a Girls Softball team and sorting and packaging donated food for Gleaners Food Bank.
