The good news is that the we start with the actual story line of All is Well this month. The Day of Remembrance comic fit into it, but even t hough we had a filler, Lori's story has not been told. Lori may be our token red-headed transsexual. (I am not sure why transsexual comics have to include a red-head, but it seems to be an unwritten rule.) The actual publication date will be delayed until the 15th to give Che more time to work it out. If any more changes occur, I'll let you know.

December 17, 2007 -- Io Saturnalia!

There will only be one filler in the month of December. This has to do with Che's schedule and a crash which forced Lara to reinstall Windows on her system and cut her off from her Linux partition. Fortunately, this will not delay the start of our official storyline comics which began during the New Year. The end result of this is that some changes will be made in the design and the tagboard will go where it will be more useful -- on the bottom of the comic page. Some more pages will be added, including a page where we explain the musical choices for our character and the comic itself. November 16, 2007 -- The Day of Remembrance Comic

The Day of Remembrance Comic is up. There is one slight problem that I did not catch with the comic and that I should have. Lori Rockwell was referred to the BYU Aversion Therapy treatment program because her bishop thought she suffered from same-sex attraction. Lori, a true believing Mormon at the time went along with the treatment because she thought the bishop wanted to help her. While it is not clear from the comic, her bishop while she attended BYU did not understand Gender Identity disorder and did what he felt the spirit moved him to do. I have no proof that transgendered individuals were treated this way, but the attitude of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints towards either group was more hostile at the time than it is today. That being said, it is a dream, and liberties are often taken by our subconscious.

All is Well would like people to take a few minutes out on November 20th and remember the transgendered people who lost their lives for being who they were. The banner at the top links to the Jenn Dolari's Day of Remembrance Page.

The first few comics are still waiting for pictures which I cannot get at the moment because Wal-Mart apparently believes in selling dead camera batteries.

The first few comics are drawn but are waiting on backgrounds for the images.   Lara is trying to ge tthem, but much to Lara's chagrin after spending more on a bicycle innertube than she had in fact spent for the bike, Wal-Mart decided to add further insult to injury by addind dead batteries.   While this obstacle is annoying, it is not insurmountable.

1/1/80... well, sort of.

All is Well is a work currently in development.   While it is getting closer to being ready to be revealed to the public, we trust our readers will have the patience to wait for the entire project to be revealed in the fullness of time.

For now, the writer of the comic, Lara Tacita Hopes you enjoy this page but warns you that it is under construction..

All is Well is rated Web-14 those who find homosexuality, transgenderism or Mormonism offsensive should probably go elsehwere.  May I suggest www.chick.com for those of a more sensitive constitution?

There is a saying in Mormonism that you can love the church but you cannot leave it alone.   Unfortunately, this is also coupled with an attitude that if you ignore things everything will turn out all right in the afterlife as long as you pray, pay, and obey.  Our intent is to point out that despite the attitude, all is not well in the Mormon church, especially for some elements of the population generally ignoreed or mistreated by the leadership
