Introduction

The Web Sindhi Editor is the first ever Web-based and complete Sindhi word processor which helps you write Sindhi as well as English. Using the Web Sindhi Editor, you can make Sindhi files, webpages, send Sindhi emails and paste or drag-drop the text from Sindhi files/webpages to other programs such as MS Word, WordPad or graphics programs.

The Web Sindhi Editor gives you the option of saving the file as well. Thus, you can use Web Sindhi Editor to create as many Sindhi documents as you want. This is a fantastic feature of this very Sindhi Editor. For example, this option enables you to move Sindhi files from one computer to another and open it in Internet Explorer. There is no need whatsoever of installing any software or anything else to read these Sindhi files, Internet Explorer does it all for you. You can even open/re-edit created files in Web Sindhi Editor by first "copying" entire text from Sindhi files and "pasting" it into Web Sindhi Editor. Also, you don't need any Arabic/Persian version of Windows to use Web Sindhi Editor, you can even use it on a English/US version of Windows.

My name is Sarfraz Ahmed Chandio, I'm a student of Bcom (final) at the University of Karachi, Pakistan and I originally belong to the attractive city of Pakistan Larkana which is well known throughout for its primitive civilization and culture.

How did I come up with Web Sindhi Editor?

I felt a great need of a Sindhi Editor because Sindhi text editors are lacking very much, they almost don't exist. Therefore, it was very important to develop one to cater the needs of desktop publishing area and the Internet. Another reason why I initiated this project was that I had really got sick of typing English text every now and then and lastly I was inspired by the work that is being done by the SindhiComputing group, so I decided to at least try to develop a Sindhi word processor with whatever knowledge I had about HTML and VBScript/VB. I just started off and went on developing the Sindhi Editor. Although initially I was having some problems relating to Sindhi text in the Web Sindhi Editor but I was so determined that these problems turned out tobe nothing for me and I was able to develop the Web Sindhi Editor in just two days. Prior to this I had developed the Sindhi Text Editor software with the help of Visual Basic 6 so I knew how to do it all but to implement it in the form of a webpage-based editor was a different story altogether but yet I managed to develop the Web Sindhi Editor that you have.
