Amichien Bonding (aka Dog Listening) was pioneered by Jan Fennell in the early 1990s after she became increasingly dissatisfied with traditional enforcement training, whilst recognising the need for dogs to be socially acceptable. As Jan’s method proved to be successful with her own dogs, others dog lovers took notice and soon asked for her help, and by 1995 this became a whole new career. She initially visited dog owners in their homes and worked with them, she eventually attracted media interest and she made two TV series with Yorkshire Television and Channel 5, the latter being shown all over the world. In 2000 she published her first book with HarperCollins “The Dog Listener” which has become an International Best Seller available in over 20 languages. This was followed by a further 4 books, all International Best Sellers.
Jan continues to spread the word; what started out as a desire to make life better for her own dogs has become her wish that every dog is happy and understood. Her talks and training courses now take place all over Europe,
