Book Reviews
I was reading in a wonderful bookstore... and it was my dream come true! Unfortunately, I was unable to continue doing so. In any case, my passion for books is back in full force, and I decided I would put up a Book Review page! I'll put all the books in here which have inspired me - german or english, and all the books I would like to have, no particular order. If you are in the Vancouver area, why don't you stop by Coquitlam FreeSpirit Books and find all you need there?
A classic already:

The Power of Now by
Eckhart Tollehttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1577311523/002-4741523-4684046?v=glance&n=283155
I seriously wonder if Eckhart Tolle is the reincarnation of Meister Eckhart, lol...who knows??
I'm sure he has heard this a thousand times already. Who was Meister Eckhart? Please refer here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meister_Eckhart
This book had so many rave reviews, I had to see for myself.
It is an incredibly easy and flowing read, but that doesn't mean simple or inconsequential. This book does have the power to blow you away - but blow would be too strong a word. It delicately puffs you higher and higher, leaving you feeling so light and refreshed, and wondering why you ever doubted, why you forgot so easily, why everything else always gets in the way of what could be a truly beautiful life for us all. It is inspiring, uplifting and almost has a life of it's own.. difficult to explain, but it seems almost alive - like the Mona Lisa. Everytime you go back to read it, something new stands out differently than before.
Mr. Tolle explains wonderfully and easily (the explanation that is, and understanding that explanation. Following through can be a different story entirely..) - it teaches you how to regain control of that tool of ours, the mind. He explains the workings and habits of our minds and egos and the importance of regaining control. He writes about the benefits of living in the Now, and not in the projections of our unexistant future, or memories of a past which never really was quite the way it was in our memories. According to him (and many others) our only point of power is in the now, it is the only point from which we can ever really act. He also explains about our powerful pain-body, which rang so true... A definite must-read, some actually call it their new Bible. One of my best buys.

The Psychic Handbook by
Betty F. Balcombe
Plain and simple, this is a really good book. Written by Betty Balcombe, a well-known psychic development and awareness teacher in the UK, she explains everything a psychic needs to know. In this book there is no mumbo-jumbo, no hokus-pokus, but a real, down-to-earth guide about everything from what it means to be pyschic, over to cleansings, to readings, protection, healings, past lives, working with colours and gemstones, right down to her personal view on the soul, spirit and physical existence. Diagrams graphically explain all the techniques she applies, and they are all effective, make sense, are easy to remember and to apply.
Another excellent book, I have learned so much and gained so much from it! Like having your own personal teacher/guide right there in front of you.
It has been published under varying titles:
As I see it or Everyone's Guide for Using Psychic Ability
Another must-have.

Adam Dreamhealer:
http://www.dreamhealer.com/
Read it. Just read it. And then get part 2 and part 3. He is quite famous already, and he is not even using his real name. What he writes is new in some parts, in others not so new. What is different to me, is the raw energy he seems to impart through his writing, the simplicity with which he explains everything he sees and does. For his age he is mature (admittedly, as are many kids nowadays, we're not all bad), but there is no flash of ego, and also no unnecessary fake humility, and bowing down for what he believes in or does. He is as he is. This adds only - not to the ring of truth his books have, but the gong of truth. Incredible. Absolutely incredible - or maybe not. I mean, what did we think? That humanity would stop at our level of development? Some see him as a freak or a fraud... I see him as what is to come. We as humanity are still all on a path, but it is so easy to forget... Natalya (Natasha) Demkina is apparently another teen with similiar abilities. Quick info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natasha_Demkina
