HOW THIS BOOK CAME TO LIFE ?

HAVING JUST MOVED FROM THE CORNFIELDS OF IOWA. TO THE BEAUTIFUL COLORADO MOUNTAINS. WE HAD ABOUT 50 DOLLARS LEFT TO OUR NAME. OUR RENT WAS DUE IN TWO WEEKS. I COULD NOT GET A JOB EVEN THOUGH I WAS APPLYING AT SEVERAL. AS A YOUNG CHRISTIAN MAN I BEGAN TO WORRY. AND THAT IS WHERE THIS STORY BEGINS.

I ASKED GOD, WHY DID HE BRING US TO COLORADO? GOD'S TIMING IS PERFECT. I JUST COULD NOT YET SEE IT. SO ON MONDAY I BEGAN TO PRAY AND FAST. ASKING GOD TO REVEAL HIS ANSWERS FOR MY CURRENT SITUATION. I PRAYED AND FASTED FOR 6 DAYS. SOMETHING THAT I HAVE NEVER DONE BEFORE OR SINCE THIS TIME. ON THE SEVENTH DAY I AWOKE ON THIS SUNDAY MORNING. KNEELING DOWN TO PRAY. THIS IS WHEN THE GREATEST EXPERIANCE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. AS IF IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE. I KNEW BEYOND ANY DOUBT THAT JESUS WAS IN FRONT OF ME. NOT IN THE FLESH. AND NOT IN A VISIBLE SPIRIT. I JUST KNEW THAT CHRIST WAS IN THE ROOM RIGHT BEFORE ME.

MY ENTIRE BODY WENT FLUSH. I BEGIN SWEATING ALL OVER MY ENTIRE BODY. I WOKE UP 5 MINUTES LATER AND THE FLOOR AROUND ME WAS SOAKING WET. MY ENTIRE BODY WAS SHAKING FOR ANOTHER HOUR. WHEN I GAINED BACK SOME CALMNESS. I CALLED MY MOTHER BACK IN IOWA. SHE IS  A STRONG BELIEVER IN JESUS CHRIST. WHEN SHE ANSWERED THE PHONE, MY VOICE WAS TREMBLING AND WOULD NOT SPEAK CLEAR WORDS. THE ONLY THING I SAID WAS " MOM ". THEN SHE SAID " DID JESUS COME TO VISIT YOU TODAY ? " VOICE STILL TREMBLING I SAID , YES. MOM TOLD ME THAT A FEW NIGHTS BACK SHE HAD A DREAM THAT JESUS WAS GOING TO VISIT ME.

HAVING NEVER READ THE BIBLE MORE THAN A FEW PAGES HERE AND THERE. AND HAVING NEVER WRITTEN POEMS OR STORIES IN MY LIFETIME. I WITHIN DAYS WROTE THESE 66 POEMS IN THIS FIRST BOOK ". THEN I READ THE ENTIRE HOLY BIBLE IN THE NEXT 30 DAYS.

BEYOND ANY SHADOW OF DOUBT I SAW AND FELT FULLY " JESUS CHRIST. " THAT IS WHY IN THE TITLE IT SAYS INSPIRED BY JESUS INTO ME. MY ENTIRE LIFE HAS BEEN A COMPLETE INSTANT CHANGE. THESE 66 POEMS TOOK TWELVE YEARS TO BECOME PUBLISHED. THEY ARE A GIFT FROM JESUS INTO ME. ALTHOUGH SOME ARE SHORT, THEY ARE ALSO ALIVE. THESE WORDS ARE THE WORLD TO ME. I HAVE FULLY LIVED EACH POEM. I WOULD NOW BE PROUD TO SHARE THEM WITH ALL WHO WISH TO TAKE A LOOK.

YES, YES, YES CHRIST SHOWED UP ON THAT SUNDAY MORNING.THE GREATEST GIFT EVER GIVEN TO ME. I WAS THERE AND I WILL NEVER BELIEVE ANYTHING ELSE. I FULLY KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. I HAVE SEEN AND LIVED ALL THE CHANGES IN MY LIFE SINCE THAT HOUR. MY JOYS HAVE 10,000 FOLDED. MY ENTIRE LIFE CHANGED IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE. I HAD ALWAYS BEEN A BELIEVER IN CHRIST  MY KING. NOW I DAILY HAVE A STEADFAST PURPOSE.

AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY
Born in Iowa in 1962, David A. Simonson and his wife, Nancy, have traveled to over twenty-two states west of the Mississippi River.  Always on back roads and stopping often to view and enjoy God's beauty, and to enjoy too many wonderful people to even count, always with their individual stories.  David and Nancy have never owned better than a $1,000 car, truck, or van, tossing what few possessions they cherish into the back.

BOOK PREFACE
The Lord came upon me like fire.  I was praying and fasting and calling out to God for help and guidance in our lives.
God has always answered me.  God is always perfect in his timing with my life.
Ever since I was a young boy, I could tell that God was always helping, guiding, and talking with me.  Like most folks, I have had my share of problems throughout my life.  I have learned to quickly ask for God's helping hand.
God has never failed me.  There is no situation that God cannot heal.  God is in control of everything.  God freely gives peace, joy, wisdom, and his love to all that will ask of him.  God has a genuine interest and desire for your well-being.
God wishes you good things.  If only we could learn all of our lessons by always first turning to God.
God is patient and kind, wishing that none should persih.  God made each and every one of us special in his likeness.  God has a special plan for each and every person on the entire face of the earth.
I pray that to the best of your ability, you will choose to turn to God first.  I pray that God will use your life for his glory and perfect plan.
God the Father, sent his Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins, your sins, and the sins of all mankind throughout the entire earth.
I pray that you will accept God's free gift of salvation.  I pray that you will study God's Holy Word through the Bible, the greatest book ever written.
I pray that you will daily seek God's face in your life.  Not in your future, do it today, this hour.
I pray that you will understand the wisdom that God is Holy above all else and should be respected as such.  I also humbly pray that you will enjoy this book of poems.
I pray that they will draw you closer to God, urging you to strive forward with a positive attitude and fight the good fight.
The Lord came upon me like fire.  The Lord came to my rescue.  These poems are a result of a special time in my life.  God put them into my heart and then I put them onto paper.  May God bless you always.  God loves you.
