When I heard EA Games coming out with The Sims 2 Nightlife Expansion pack, I saw that part of the 125 new objects is a karaoke set. This gave me an idea. After such a decline with Online Idol contests, I wanted to bring it back up; Thus, the creation of Sim Idol. One thing, this is will be all video files. No you don’t actually see the actual form of the person, but the simulated form of the person. There will be a set of auditions where as many people can enter. The auditions will lead to the next round of 15. The 15 again will sing their hearts out and we, as the judges, eliminate seven more. Every week, you vote in the finals who stay and go. The Final 2 will go head to head to see if they can be the Sim Idol. The winner will work with me to produce 5 or more sim music videos! The contract [originally 1 year] may expand even further! Steven L. is the owner, president, and chief executive officer of S.L. Productions and the creator/executive producer of Sim Idol. Being in charge of all production, he wants to find a great marketable talent for his music videos. His musical background was being a judge for several online competitions, critiquing for several online competitions, and being in chorus for several years. He also took music classes which he stopped 2 years ago. He likes any kind of music except rap and his favorite artist is Celine Dion. He wants someone who sings with amazing vocal and passion. He is looking for the best. Although he's not on the true judging panel this season, he'll be a back-up for any occasion and will be ready for the next superstar.
Dean is an independent singer/songwriter currently working on his first album with Indie label Global Dance Recordings. Dean has been singing & writing songs seriously since 1998 and has released a self-produced first album online through his official website.  He was Runner up in Next Big Thing Season 1, Judge & Co-Creator of Season 2 & finalist in Online Idol 2, Virtual Pop Idol 2 & currently in the top 4 of Net Superstar 3.  In a Sim Idol, Dean puts most importance in emotion & song selection.  "Use your instincts," he says, "If you can't feel a song in your heart you won't be able to sell it to an audience.  Choose carefully & sing your heart out."
Charly Timmer is 20 years old. Now, people might recognize him from his singing voice on various competitions like Cyber Idol, Idol Eminence, and loads more. However, there is a lot that people don't know about him. He has been performing in various musicals since he was 5 and for the last 3 years...He’s breaking out to popular music. Charly have also DJ'ed for 1 yr. at Florida Atlantic University and currently majoring in Theatre. He hopes to accomplish more and help people accomplish more in the music field the best way he know how.
Tony is somewhat a renaissance man. He’s a well-known sim director by the name of Brosys_30 and has an abundance of knowledge in the music world. He went to college and majored in Commercial Music as a Recording Engineer. He knows his way through a recording studio and once was told he can make in the music world big time! He loves to draw, anime-style and uses it to produce comics as someone who loves to write. Writing, art, music, and now hosting! Jeanie won the first Sim Idol competition! Vocalist/Guitarist with the Sentimental Journey Swing Band, she embraced her dad's music in tribute to him. She has enjoyed singing with many Country and Classic Rock bands along the way." In the fall every year she joins up with Northern Arizona University's Master Chorale as a second alto to broaden her horizons in the "classical" realm. Jazz is in her heart, so she has been sitting in with jazz combos as a featured vocalist. And, in the last few years, she has taken her love of all kinds of music to the classroom. She has been the music teacher of West Sedona School for seven years and gives voice lessons to children and adults on the side. She has traveled to many parts of the world in person and in spirit. Every country has left an imprint on her soul, musically and otherwise.
Burak Haliloglu is a 17 year old Australian Sim director and voice actor, best known as Sillygostly. He's one of Sim99.com's best online critic and reviewer of sim movies. Although he may not be as knowledgeable about music as the the other judges on Sim Idol, he certainly knows what he likes to hear, and that's anything but heavy metal and urban music. His musical background includes singing in the shower and currently comprises one third of The Sim Factor's judging panel. Burak is looking for a Sim Idol that takes risks, not afraid to try new things, originality, talent, and to stand out. And he hopes to see that in the new season of Sim Idol!
You may recognize Amy Scott from Season 1 of Sim Idol where she was the runner up. Amy is currently a sophomore in college at California State University, Fresno. Amy has been singing and performing since the age of five and believes that music is the only thing that truly makes her happy. She is even thinking of going back to her Vocal Performance major that she left behind after her first semester of school. Because of her background in music and her ability to distinguish between good singers and great singers, she hopes that she can help find the next winner of Sim Idol.
