City Life to Replace SimCity? January 27, 2006 Over the past year, the developers at Monte Cristo have been working very hard to produce a game with depth and originality. Recently, a lot of talk over this game has risen and is beginning to question the capabilities of SimCity 4. Many call City Life the "3D version of SimCity 4", others call it a copy cat game. City Life allows players to build an entire city the way they want to and at the same time be able to have glance at it from any angle and any zooming level. The camera goes as far as the clouds and as deep into the city enough for you to see citizens walking on the streets. For the most part, City Life is a bit more realistic and better rendered, however many onlookers of this upcoming game believe it still needs much more work to be done on the gameplay. From now until its April 2006 release, people are hoping to see some changes for the better. New Year, New Look! December 18, 2004 Recently, SimCity World has been going along pretty slow, so the staff at SCW thought of a new way to help this site grow. There will be a new version of SCW coming out hopefully by New Years! It's still under major planning and parts of it are coming under construction, but throughout all the reconstruction, the site will be up for everyone to look around.

New Forums Have Arrived! October 6, 2004 We've been working long and hard, but it has finally paid off! The new SimCity World Forums are here and ready for posting! If you were a member previously, then you must re-register, but for new members all you have to do is a free and simple registration. With the new forums we, the admins and mods at SCW, are able to keep track of everything that goes on in the forums. We have much more flexibility with forum policies and such. The SimMars Project! July 31, 2004 You heard right. There has been a SimMars Project going on for about 6 months now and it has been picking up speed pretty fast. For those of you who don't know anything about this, the SimMars Project is a user-made conversion of the entire SimCity 4 game. The terrain has a totally different look, there are going to be new buildings, roads, highways, and much more! The official site is here. You can sign up to be a part of any team you want.

Bandwith Problems. July 28, 2004 As some of you may know, SimCity World was down for a few days due to the high usage of bandwith. The problem was fixed and now we have more bandwith to use. SimCity World used up about 3 times more bandwith than was allowed. 3GB of bandwith have been paid for and would appreciate it if our members would be willing to donate a little amount to keep the bandwith, and the site, up and running. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Donate to Simtropolis! June 22, 2004 For a while now, Simtropolis has been having a small problem with the usage of bandwith. Uhh...SimCity Day? June 16, 2004 For those of you who don't know, or are new to SimCity 4, SimCity Day is one day out of the whole week when Maxis gives out "goodies" for SimCity fans to add to their games. The "goodies" ranged from landmarks, to patches, the Lot Editor, to wallpapers. For a while now, Maxis has given its' fans really lame SimCity Day's.
