I do have a myspace. In fact, I have two. Sadly, I don't add people to the second one so don't worry about that.
The one a do add people too already has many fans and what not. Like with e-mail or IMs, I answer all comments or messages sent to me through myspace. Spam and apps requests WILL be ignored however and if repeatedly sent, will be deleted off my friends list. Don't worry, you can spam all you want through bulletins. I'm not going to delete you for that. I like surveys...
