The adventure of the ruby rifle part one

It was in the summer of 1902 that Holmes and I had been out helping miss Dannya Price track down a diamond worth £ 5000. We had found it in a abandon house on, strangly, Baker street! After this we were walking back when a coach drawn by two black horses came into view. As it made its way closer a sign could be seen on the side. I look at it very closely though I could not make it out. As we keep going it rode up aside us. "Mr. Sherlock Holmes?" asked the driver. "Yes. What may I do for you?" said my friend. The man simply handed over a letter and started to ride off. As Holmes opened it we came to the apartment. Holmes opened the door and started up the stairs. As he walked he read the note. We came to our room and he sat down. "Watson.... We have yet another, and if I may say so, great case on our hands. It seems the ruby encrusted rifle has been stolen from the London mussem!" He then handed the note to me. I started to read: Mr. Sherlock Holmes. I am requsting your help. After seeing how well you did on the Price Diamond case I ask you to come to the london mussem. The ruby rifle has been stolen. It was on display when it happened. I will tell you all we know when you arrive.

                                                                                                                             Inspector Lestrade

I grabed my hat and Holmes and I walked out. The sun was going down and the fog was filling the streets. There was a smell of smoke in the air. Most likely the lamp boy lighting the street lamps. Or was it?

Next week we bring you part two of this state of the art formated tale.

The adventure of the ruby rifle part 2

We continued walking down the street. As we neared the mussem the smell of smoke became stronger. I looked up at that time to see it. It was coming from the mussem! "My Lord Holmes look! Its on fire!" I yelled. Holmes started to sprint. I did my best to keep up with him though I fell behind from time to time. When we finally reached the mussem I saw that the fire had over-took the hall. Lestrade was standing outside along with a few mussem workers. Just as we walked up the fire department arrived and started tossing buckets of water onto the fire. No one spoke. We just watched. When the fire finally was out we still did not speak. Lestrade walked up to the door and looked in. The fire had done some bad dammage to the hall, but it seemed it had not reached the main part of the mussem. He waved for Holmes and I to come in. As we walked in Lestrade opened the door to the main room. "Sorry for all this Mr.Holmes", He said. "What is all this?" ,Questioned Holmes. "I dont rightly know I am afraid", Remarked Lestrade. "We were just standing outside speaking and smoke started to come out o' the mussem 'ere". Holmes almost apeared to fall down. He then look on the floor face down, sniffed and then picked something up. "A match", He remarked. "Just what is the 'ruby rifle'?", I asked. "Its a rifle of course. Encrusted with rubies ye see. Its been on display here for quite some time. Had a good many attempts ta steal it too.  When it was stolen we were baffled. We found nothin'. Its quite a odd case.", Lestrade answer. Holmes walked into the main room and looked at the broken case in which the rifle had once sat. He then picked up a piece of the broken glass. "Lestrade bring in the workers please.", Said Holmes. Lestrade called for them and they steped in. " 'Ere ye go. This is Mrs. Tao", Lestrade pointed to an rather old asain woman. "And 'ere is Mr. Johnson and Mr. Reed". "Tell me Mrs. Tao... You are, I think, the woman who discovered it had been stolen and called the inspector." Said Holmes. "Yes Sir I did. I hear loud bang and come. They be glass all over floor! Rifle gone!", She remarked. "Thats your thief Lestrade. Your see, When she said the glass was broken I knew it. The glass had not been broken when the rifle was stolen. She opened the case with her key, Then, Closed it and broke it so it would apear it had been broken and someone had made off with it. If you look in her office you will find your rifle.", Holmes walked away leaving Lestrade in awe. As we made our way back to 221b I asked: "How did you know it had not been broken when the rifle was stolen!?". "Well you see The glass hand obviously been broken with the rifle, Then, She had used the tip of the rifle to make it apear it had been broken. Tonight when she was allowed to leave she would have taken the rifle in some sort of case along with her, then, sold it for quite some profit". I laughed.
