MINIATURE HORSES  est. 1995

ARABIANS  est. 1990 & reest. 2008

The stud is run primarily by Nicole & Tiffani, along with Mark & Bryson.  We are located in the Upper South East town of Cooke Plains, approx. 1 1/2 hours drive east of Adelaide along the south-eastern freeway & Dukes Hwy.

We were first established in 1995 and are committed to the breeding of Australian Miniatures with a splash of US blood.  They are Arabian type with brilliant dispositions, type and presence.  We also specialise in breeding Duns and have also decided to incorporate the creme gene, which will make our program all the more exciting.  With only 1 or 2 foals born each year, our aim is to keep our stud small and breed quality Miniature Horses with the extra bonus of COLOUR!!

All youngstock is handled and played with daily by my 10yo daughter Tiffani.  She has a natural knack with them all and they are therefore quiet and easy to work with.  Our Mini Horse program has been put on hold, but we are retaining our coloured mares & fillies, TA D'Ripley, SC D'Ya Believe In Majik & SC D'LaQuita, to possibly use in a future program.  At this stage we are also retaining RD My Sharona & her 2007 colt, SC Bey Cruseyda, who will remain with us so we can assess him as a possible future sire.  Any queries on our Minis are still welcomed.

ARABIANS

Well, where do I begin.  I guess it goes back to my very first horse, "Tara".  At 13 (although it probably started much sooner),  just like most young girls at that age, I wanted a horse.  I came from a 'non' horse orientated family, but at the tender age of 14, my first dream was fulfilled with the purchase (by my parents) of a gorgeous young part arabian mare named Taralee Lotara (Tara), who was by Wellworth Tangiers and out of an unregistered mare named Lady Luck.  At the time my family lived in a small close knitted estate just 5 minutes out of McLaren Vale, SA on 2 1/2 acres.  I was given private riding lessons and at times I went along with my friends to pony club.  After I got my drivers license, another friend and I would head off together and try out luck at some shows, which I bought home a few ribbons.  Shortly after, I realised that there was more to life than my beloved mare......and that was BOYS!!!  During this brief time, I leased Tara out and lived the life that most girls at 18 years do, which was going out and having fun with friends.  As I said, it was brief, but during this time, my parents sold our small property and began their life on the coast.  I then had to find a job, so that I could agist Tara, until I met Mark (my now Hubby), and was very fortunate that his parents had a property in the Adelaide Hills, and this is where Tara lived out the rest of her life.  She was 'retired' from riding at the tender age of 13, due to my work committments as a Veterinary Nurse, so I began the search for a suitable stallion to breed her to.  I found the stallion Warrondi Amir (Baskhan x Argentina) and on the 25th September 1990, Tara gave birth to a very pretty chestnut (grey) filly, which I named Amariek Riannah.  Sadly it wasn't meant to be, and Riannah passed away shortly before midnight.  I decided to rebreed Tara and chose the stallion Bluegrass Komotion (Rahalima x Bluegrass Emotion), and on the 7th November 1991, a lovely strong leggy grey colt (gelded) ewas born, and I named him Amariek Chevez.  Matey was a wonderful boy, and was later broken to saddle, but unfortunately due to me sustaining a shoulder injury and starting my own family, I decided to sell him.  That was almost 13 years ago now, and in September 2002, Tara was laid to rest, just one month after her 26th birthday.  It is with great excitement that we get to the year 2005, and it all began again with the purchase of a wonderful pure arabian filly........Selig Imagine That (Integrity x Eastern Park Imagination).  "Nat" is everything I had hoped for, and this year, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase another pure arabian, and in July we welcomed Selig Shaina (Peasons Shakayne x Sabtah Sahiba).  Early next month we will also see the arrival of Shaina's 1/2 sister, Cearadale Shoshaana (Simeon Shoshan x Sabtah Sahiba).  I am now searching for suitable 'boys' to breed my girls to, so the next chapter in my 'Arabian' life can begin.
