SILVERADO CATTERY . (HOME TO HIMALAYAN COLOUR POINT PERSIANS)

Welcome to our Himalayan Persian Cat web site. My name Is Kathie Wilson
from Rotorua, New Zealand. We have been breeding since 1990.
Starting off with Shaded Silver Persians. Four years later we changed to
Himalayan colour point Persians Cats. ALL MY CATS ARE DNA PKD (POLYCYSTIC KIDNEY DISEASE) NEGATIVE.

We also have Solid Colours and Exotics to.

Our cats are only caged when it is breeding season and are allowed to roam
free when they are in kitten. They are only locked up before they are due.
When kittens are six weeks old they are let out to play in the garden.

All kittens are born in the house and stay inside to get lots of hands on
treatment and exposure to visitors and noise.

They are raised on Chef kitten chicken jelly meat and Royal Canin baby cat biscuits.They also get cooked chicken and cooked fish when I have it.

People always ask to know something about Persians. They have a very loving nature and are inside cats most of the time. They do like to go out side when you do or have a sit in the rain. Your knee would be their favorite place, they will head butt you to keep patting them. They will follow you around the house and also talk with you. You will soon learn the cat language and your neighbours will think you have lost the plot when they hear you talking to your cat. Each kitten has his or her own personality and they just love to race you around the house to see who can get inside or to your favorite chair first.

Persians need to be groomed at least 3 times a week as when that winter coat comes in, it can matt very quickly. The best thing about owning an Exotic is that you get the personality of a Persian with out all the work of grooming that goes with it.

We treat all our Persian Cats as family pets and love them dearly. If you are
looking for an inside cat to love, with a very laid back nature and one that
will stay at your side then this is the one for you.
