Southern Interior & Cascades

HO Scale Model Railroad

Welcome to my home HO scale layout, I have been working on this newest version of my layout since July of 2006. This layout Occupies a shop area 10' x 20' and is a double main with a 2' x 10' yard attached.

    "The Merritt Model Railroaders" 2009

          Hank,Jonathen,Bill,Mike,Al,Rick and Ken

The " Southern Interior & Cascades " Model Railroad is a Freelance layout,it follows loosly some of the Kettle Valley and the CN Switch yard in Kamloops B.C.

The Construction of my 7th layout started in the summer of 2006, After a few years of a very sub standard Layout that was not what I was wanting any longer, the entire Layout room was gutted and all new benchwork was installed all "Gorman Bro's" 1 x 4 construction, the layout was built in 4 seperate sections in case a move is ever needed, the Top of the layout is all 1\2 " good one sided Plywood with braces every 2 feet all drilled out for layout wireing as well as accesory wireing.

This layout is a 2 Mainline layout, the outter line is CP Rail the inner a combination of CN Rail and BC Rail, the Yard (Lapoint Yard) is  2' x 10',it has 2 arrival tracks a run around track as well as eight classification tracks,a Caboose track,a 2 stall Pike stuff shop holding 4 switchers,a fuel depot sideing as well as a cement plant sideing. A track plan will be posted when completed.
