SHUNRA BURMESE, SHAELUM LANE PONY STUD

Chrissy as she is known at home, is a Welsh Mountain Section A, grey 3yo, 11.3hh mare.  Her Sire is Alianna Red Baron, and her Dam is Churinga Cameo. Chrissy is currently being shown in led classes, and is coming along quite nicely.

Chrissy is an impeccable mare, and is great for anyone of any age to ride, proving to us that Welsh A's are the way to go when it comes to unflappable children's ponies.

UPDATE:  Chrissy has been bred to Roskyle Biscotti a Buckskin Section A stallion owned by Tabayne Stud in Bass. We have used him with our TB mare below to breed a beautiful little Buckskin Colt Foal, and are waiting with keen interest to see what our smaller mares produce to him this coming season.

Casuarina Plains Penny Lane, or Tiahan as she is known at home, is a delightful little AMPS/ APSB registered Shetland Mare who has been with our tud for two seasons now. Tiahan has produced a couple of nice true to type fillies for us in our miniature breeding, and we are hoping for the same outcome for this coming season as she has been bred to Yarra View stud's Shetland Stallion, Millbrae Macquarie for a 2010 foal.  More information for this mare and our upcoming plans for our stud will be made available shortly.

Honey is a nice typey little 12 hand grey mare who came to us through the Pakenham Saleyards just on 12 months ago. She can be a bit difficult to ride so without much hesitation, it was decided that she would be bred to Tabayne Stud's resident Buckskin Section A Stallion Roskyle Biscotti for a 2010  part bred welsh foal. Honey is currently milling about in our larger paddock with Chrissy and the two can always be found side by side slightly away from the rest of the herd.  Again, with the chage of direction our stud has taken in the last 8 months, we are waiting with anticipation for our 2010 season foals to hit the ground.

Paluka Kameo, or Kammy as she is known, is a chestnut APSB Shetland Mare, and has come to us on loan from Yarra View Stud for Chloe to use as a ridden pony. Kammy is extremely friendly, and is easy for the kids to handle. We are very thankful to Ann Oakford for allowing us to have Kammy here for Chloe, as Chloe absolutely loves her to bits.

Charm is our Thoroughbred mare. She is 15 3/4hh and is a lovely bay. She is By Rokosz out of Shamento. Charm is the mother of our Australian Pony Part Bred Magic. Charm currently has a buckskin colt foal at foot by Roskyle Biscotti a buckskin Welsh section A stallion owned by Tabayne stud in Bass. Lou is a gorgeous little fellow and will eventually make an excellent ridden prospect for show.

Charm had done ridden and led showing and has been ridden on and off roads, and is brilliant around our kids, and is an excellent mother to her foals, never has any problems raising them at all. You couldn't ask for a better TB mare.

Bailey is our bay APSB registered shetland mare by Lerwick Allburn out of Thorpeville Blythe, and normally resides in Devon Meadows with our minimal pinto stallion Freddy. We have taken Bailey to the farm at Grantville this year and bred Bailey this season to Yarra View stud's Millbrae Macquarie for a 2010 foal. We are hoping to have some stunning APSB registered Shetland foals this season from Mac to our girls, and are excitedly awaiting their arrival.
