Cao Cao



Cao Mengde was a descendant of Cao Can, the Prime Minister of the Western Han Dynasty. As a young man, Cao Mengde was said to be very clever, tricky, unconventional, self-indulgent and loyal. Cao Cao’s father Cao Song was originally of the Xiahou Family, but was adopted by the eunuch Cao Teng, and therefore took the Cao family name. In January of the twenty-fifth year of Rebuilt Tranquility, (AD 220), Cao Mengde passed away after a stroke (3). He was buried at Gao Ling the next month. Posthumously he was titled King Wu.
Cao Ren



Cao Ren (168-223): General. A cousin of Cao Cao, Cao Ren was one of his most loyal and capable commanders. From 208, he was predominantly stationed in south China to defend against Liu Bei and Sun Quan.
Sima Yi



Sima Yi (179-251 A.D.) : Served Cao Cao and Cao Pi. His son Sima Zhao conquered Shu, and Sima Zhao's son, Sima Yan, eventually forced Cao Cao's descendant to abdicate. Sima Yan established the (not so) Great Jin dynasty. A more detailed profile is forthcoming.




Xiahou Yuan



Xiahou Yuan was Chief Commander of Cao Cao's army until he was killed by Huong Zhong. He was a AD.brilliant fighter, commander and father. He was also the cousin of the great King of Wei, Cao Cao. Along with his brother Xiahou Dun, helped Cao Cao forge an empire that would one day dominate all of China until the coming of the mongols in the 12th century. The Xiahou family was and still is regarded today as one of the most noble and honorable families in China's illustrious history. His favourite son, Xiahou Ba took his fathers clothes, weapons and his place as commander after he died.
Zhen Ji



Zhen Ji (183– 221 AD.) : Empress Zhen (the Illustrious of the Civilizing Emperor) of Wuji in Zhongshan, was the mother of Emperor Ming and a descendant of the Grand Guardian Zhen Han of Han. Her family had been officials for generations at two thousand bushels (1), and her father Yi was prefect of Shangcai. She lost her father when he she was only three.


Xiahou Dun



Xiahou Dun ( ?-222 A.D.) : Relative (probably cousin) and close friend of Cao Cao. He is also the elder brother of Xiahou Yuan. Xiahou Dun was trained from an early age in the use of arms. It was during an attack on Gao Shun that Xiahou Dun lost his eye. Cao Xing, a general under LuBu, shot an arrow into Xiahou Dun's eye. When Xiahou Dun removed the arrow, his eye came out with it. "Essence of my father, blood of my mother, I cannot throw this away!" he said, put the eye into his mouth and swallowed it. He then went and drove a spear right into Cao Xiu's face.
