Stock

There is a wide variety of stock on the railway, ranging from wooden kits, through to plastic kits, and even somescratch built wooden ones too.

Coaches Nos. 1, 2 &3

All three coaches are in fitting with the I.P engineering 'Lollypop' range. Coach No.3 was the first purchased, from I.P themselves, and was made up, in a rush thus resulting in the poor body finish, it is hoped that soon the sides will be sanded down and re-painted in crimson fitting in with the rest of the 'service' rake. Coach No.2 was scratchbuilt by my Grandad & I at his workshop in the Lake District, it was drawn up on AutoCad using the same profile for the 'sides' as on the I.P 'Lollypop' range, having two compartments and a roof this differs from anything produced in that range. The valances were added to hide the horid bogies that were found in the bits box. The struts to hold the roof up were made so that the plastikard roof would not bend. Coach No.1 was again produced by the same people at the same location, this is the 'brake composite' of the rake. The full height sides on half of the coach are because that's the gaurds compartment and he must spend all day in there and deserves a small amount of shelter from the elements. The duckets are whitemetel castings purchased from I.P. I know they don't look 'great' in the cream but the crimson paint used on the coaches works as a wood stain, and therefore it won't work on metel. Thanks Grandad for two great coaches!

Chidham Light Railway Stock

I own a couple of pieces of Chidham Light Railway stock, and they are by far my faviroute waggons. They ride well and look good (in my opinion). I fancy getting a few more in the future if I can.

I.O.M Coach

At the 2008 Welshpool Show I purchased one of the beautifel 3rd/Guards Accucraft Isle of Man 4 wheel coaches, mine is number C2, and I hope in future to obtain a passenger coach to run with it.

Ffestiniog Railway Stock

There are many hints droped around the site that relate to me been a Ffestiniog 'fanatic', so it's fitting that I'm building up a rake of assorted FfR coaches and waggons.

FfR Coal Waggon 163
Another eBay story! Was surfing eBay, and came across a body for a FfR coal waggon, so I hit the 'Buy it Now' button and the body became mine, it's a nice body, it's a shame the can't be said about the chassis I stuck under it. But don't worry as we have plans to construct a new one out of I.P parts. The coal load was made by me, and couplings were found in the 'bits box'

Slate Waggons Nos.
Two CooperCraft & two Binnie. Both the CooperCraft were built by myself, and so was one of the Binnies, the other Binnie I think was built by my Dad or his friend. Both Binnies have had a few modifications, as they are of the wooden variety, a small section was glued over the 'buffer spot', this was not my idea. I used some spare CooperCraft  '3 link pegs' above the buffer, for ease of coupling, & also added some weight so the stay on the track.

Bogie Coach Suprise

Under construction at the moment is a bogie coach running on Accucraft bogies, this promises to be somthing totally different so check back in a few months to look for any announcments!

Skip Waggons

Binnie Skip

I currently have one Binnie skip, but plan to aquire more in the future, as a train for The Simplex.

Big-Big Train Skips
I have quite a few Big-Big Train skips, and plan to modifiy one in to a 'convertor waggon' from the buck-eye couplers to standard 3-link chain 'pegs'.
