Dinorwic Light Railway

24/12/08 - The afternoon of Christmas Eve was spent at DLRdan's (of the Garden Railway Forum) Dinorwic Light Railway, I ran 'Isabelle' and he ran his Finescale Peckett before we cracked opened the meths and attempted to run his recently scratchbuilt De Winton, which was slightly unsuccesful so we ran 'Isabelle' once again in the dark. The railway's operational blondin kept my dad entertained! Thanks Dan and his dad.

Wigfa & Llanrwst Light Railway

12/10/08 - My first visit to this railway, at the time of my visit it had only been half built but it was clear it is a very beuatifel well crafted railway. I took 'Isabelle' and the Simplex, we had a line up of 3 Edrigs, the Simplex looked mighty fine on a train of Binnie skips. There are photos from another atendee here http://gallery.me.com/rohderunner#100058&bgcolor=black&view=grid . Thanks Dave & Chris!

Bryn Tyddyn Light Railway

21/09/08 - Spent a day at the Bryn Tyddyn Light Railway, Tony ran most of his locos, I took 'Isabelle' and the Wickham Trolley.

Pine Tree Light Railway

27/09/08 - Following a very enjoyable day at Carnforth we visited the Pine Tree Light Railway, laalratty caught a lift with us and we had plenty of fun taking photographs of PTLRcecil's Single Fairlie and laalratty's Millie double heading and a pair of Accucraft Edrigs. 'Isabelle' did manage to haul a total of 5 GRS steel I.O.M bogie Carrs, certainly a heavy load which no one reckoned it would pull. My photographs are seen below, but Cecil's & laalratty's can be seen Here & Here .

Afonglas & Nant Llwyd Railway

25/09/08 - We visited laalratty's line again upon arrival from Wales to go to the Carnforth Open Day, enjoyable if not a little wet and dark!

Moel-Y-Gest Light Railway

31/05/08 - A great day was had at Paul Wood's Moel-Y-Gest Light Railway as the line is 45mm gauge I was only able to take 'Isabelle' she ran alongside the home fleet of 'Alicia' (Roundhouse Lady Anne) & 'Brecon' (I.P Engineering Jack), the day saw plenty of shunting and many a double header. Sadly I forgot my camera aswell as gas, although I believe Paul is going to produce a video, thanks for everything!

Beech Grove Light Railway

27/05/08 - A pleasent afternoon was spent at Andy Sleigh's Beech Grove Light Railway, we'd spent the two days previously volunteering at Hollycombe and it rounded off a fabulous weekend. Sadly no photos, although there are some in the 'Railways Visited 2006/7' (link above). Thanks Andy!

Afonglas & Nant Llwyd Railway

15/03/08 - A day was spent at LaalRatty's line (a fellow member of the Garden Railway Forum), where it was possible for 3 Accucraft 'Edrig' classes to run together and what I sight it made, the day closed with various battery loco movments including the operation of the SHR's 20hp Simplex on a slate train. A huge Thank You to ANLR Staff and members of the 16mm Assoc. Area Group.

Sioe Trenau Bach, National Slate Museum

14 & 16/02/08 - Two days were spent running 'Isabelle' at the Sioe Trenau Bach (Model Railway Exhibition) at the National Slate Museum in Llanberis. It was also possible to view many interesting locos operate from a Roundhouse 'Bertie' right up to a Shawe Steam Services Coal Fired Roundhouse 'Jack', also played with an R/C Forklift, which resulted in a purchase. Thanks to Paul Perryman and crew for a fantastic couple of days.

Bryn Tyddyn Light Railway

06/01/08 - We spent the afternoon at Tony's Bryn Tyddyn Light Railway, where 'Isabelle' got the first real chance to stretch her legs on a heavy goods, it looked fabulous going across the railway's 30+ft long viaduct, which utilises an RSJ.. Tony had his Roundhouse Fowler class 'Pegasus' out, which ran perfectly.
