What is this?
This section is to help people better understand the character I'm making for Mugen; Shockdingo First off, no he does not really exist, I just made him up, he's supposed to be an unrecognized figure within the Marvel Universe. Now, since he's original I'm trying very hard not to make him a "Mary/Marty Sue." Don't know what that is? Hit the link. If you guys feel he IS becoming a Marty Sue then please let me know. I don't want to be obnoxious here, just entertaining. Anyways, below you'll find "journals" of Kurtis Dale aka Shockdingo and a informative flash movie. (no that is not my name, it just has a nice ring to it) In these journals he'll reflect on what it is like to live in the fantastical Marvel Universe and what it is like to deal with having superpowers and the responsibility that is tied to them. Welcome to the Club, an entry into a VA contest from 2006.
A little about the audio clip:
The below was made for a vocal contest back on The Voice Acting Alliance way back 4-26-06. It dealt with the "origin" of forum members avatars and likenesses. I decided to make something up for my character and while I was reading a lot of Deadpool comics, I figured I could work with something from an old annual issue in 1998. This was the old version of Shockdingo's origin, it was inspired by Joe Kelly’s A Kiss, A Curse, A Cure. Case in point, Dingo’s real name is currently "Kurtis Dale" instead of "Derrick Slater". While I had fun with this, the variety is somewhat limited since it’s a one man show, but still good ol’ fun. Enjoy!
