ok hiya! im Cashin! (pronounced cahhsheen). for short call me shin!! well first i made this site as a tribute to the best jrock band ever!! they are Dir en Grey!!

 

 

Dir en grey started in 1997. In 1999, they became known through Japan by making the top ten charts. In 2002, they started getting Asia's attention by touring Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, and Shanghai. Now Dir en grey is spreading all over different countries! Recently they've held tours in Berlin, Paris, the United Kingdom, Finland, Poland, Sweden, and all over America! Dir en grey's goal is rumored to be 'To spread the feeling of hurt, sorrow caused by weakness, shallowness, and egoism of humanity' this along with powerful riffs and a strong singer along with great personalities and skills of fellow band mates, has led many Americans and people of other ethinic backrounds into the world of JRock.

 

haha!! Now Dir en grey, like most visual kei bands have 5 members:

 

on drums this is Shinya my favorite drummer ever! it is said that shinya is the youngest member of Dir en Grey aka Diru. he would probably be about 29 today...his hobbies include cross dressing at times(which he is really really good at)...

 

see? i told you!! Anyways, Shinya is the youngest member of Dir en grey. He's the only one who doesnt smoke cigarettes but loves drinking! ^_^ He loves dogs and i believe he has two! When Dir en grey first started performing, Shinya wasnt used to using stage makeup and had his mom help him! sweet ne? 

Next is .... Die (short for Daisuki)! he is rhythm guitar and he is well i guess you can say the funniest member of Diru! heh! he loves to tease shinya! When onstage, he calls and shouts to the audience and he loves dying his hair red! 

now the vocalist is my idol! this guy is so great hes.... kyo!!!!!!!!!

this guy is the best vocalist you will ever meet! and just looking at him lets you know how Dir en Grey is! total shock! but everyone loves kyo! <3

he spazzes out on stage, pukes, throws eggs at the audience and bleeds all over people! how lovable can you get? But he hates being called cute and considers himself a warumono (bad person) he is the shortest member of Dir en grey about 5'2.  The lyrics are written by Kyo. They mostly deal with society, lust, the media, and violence through a graphically poetic style. Kyo designed clothes for the brands BATSU and ID-JAPAN. He was born February 16th, 1976. Kyo wrote all the lyrics for all the Dir en grey songs, meaning he wrote over 100 songs! He also has two published books of poetry.

 

Next is the luvable and witty toshiya! hes the bassist of Dir en Grey! hes so cute! Before Dir en grey was dir en grey, they were a band called la sadies. La sadies included Die, Shinya, kyo, kaoru, and a different bassist called Kisaki. After Kisaki and Kyo had a falling out, La Sadies got a new bassist called Toshiya, which marked the beginning of a band called Dir en grey. They say they stole Toshiya from a band when talking about it.

 

now last but not least is the leader of Diru the lead guitarist: kaoru!!!! Kaoru takes alot of responsibility and the most important thing to him is Dir en grey. He works very hard to promote the band and is a great great guitarist! So go  Leader Kaoru!
