The little black horse sat in a broker lot with a high risk of being sent to slaughter, possibly only days from sitting on a dinner plate in France, Belgium, or Japan. His bail was paid by a compassionate person so that Another Chance for horses could pull him to safety. He was then brought to Massachusetts where he was donated to New England Equine Resscues for the treatment of his sarcoids.
