Decolicious

 

This is Decolicious, a website dedicated to the art of the deco.
For those of you unfamiliar with what exactly a deco is, to the right is just one example..  Decos are swapped worldwide by pen-pals, and are returned when they are full to the person for whom it was made.  To create one, several supplies are needed, which are not always cheap but are very fun to shop for and use.  Supplies include glitter, confetti, scrapbook background papers, stickers, brads, ribbons, doilies, and just about anything you can find in the crafts section of stores like Jo'Anne's or Michaels. 

Decos are incredibly cool because no two are alike, as no two snowflakes are.  They are a way of honoring your favorite celebrities or just a way to express you're own uniqueness and individuality.  The possibilities with them are endless.  I encourage anyone to pick up the hobby, because it's very rewarding when you receive a full one back, and it's a great creative outlet at that.

Several Yahoo groups have been created and hold organized deco swaps once a month.  You can find links to some of them here.  They are usually themed, and always exciting to participate in.
