Donna Laird, author of "Forever Yours" and "Katrina's Destiny" says...
"'Igniting the Spark to Trigger It All' by Sheila Roy is an exciting, intriguing and suspenseful novel that will hold you in its grip until the last page. If you like a novel with mystery and murder, this is the book for you."

William Phenn from Reader Views says...
"In this 177-page collection of her favorite works, Ms. Roy takes the reader on an amazing journey. From the dark shadows of a Vampire's embrace to the wonders of nature, Sheila covers it all."
"'Dancing With My Imagination' is an adventure in poetry that everyone should take. I thought it to be an outstanding read and gave it my highest A+ rating."
"Ms. Roy flows through her poetry like a literary symphony. Hitting every note on key and never once breaking a string."
"Sheila amazes the reader with her versatility by including a chapter of Japanese Haiku's and Senryu's. These are a difficult series of poems that have a certain structure that must be followed. Ms. Roy did an impressive job with these and I think any fan of this style of poetry will find them very enjoyable. From a male perspective I enjoyed the erotic chapter and 'Men are like Snowfalls' the best. But I must admit, the pages on 'Orders' made me chuckle."

ToNight
Oh ebony night, hold my hand
Crush me in your embrace
`Tis you alone who understands
How I’ve come to dwell in this place
Might I join your song of sorrow…
Eerily so divine
I’d gather the moon in my arms
Anxious to make his troubles mine
`Tis that lonely whistle of wind
That sways the trees to bend
Should their branches listlessly droop
Their dying roots I’d gladly tend
The stars must not lose their glisten
The clouds…their bushy plume
Who would rob celestial gold
And leave the sky a barren tomb
Thus, on bended knee, I request…
Your cape of solitude
Your dark visage and nightly friends
Mysteriously fit my mood

By Candles’ Light
Two tiny flames fed on the nighttime air.
Their dainty bites consumed my hungry stare.
Melting wax pillars were locked in my glance.
I pushed them closer and urged them to dance.
Maybe it was my imagination,
Or simply tedium’s compensation.
Still, I would swear one flame bowed at the waist.
Then the two winked and swayed with practiced grace.
The moment seized me and called for music.
La da da, flick flick…la da da, flick flick.
Waltzing, twisting, blushing long and supple…
I was entranced by this lovely couple!
Such delicate moves! Such passion burns bright!
How could I conjure a moment so right?
It had to be real; real as real can be!
So I asked one flame, “Will you dance with me?”
Yet, I knew their vow was their pledge to keep.
I’d just never beheld a bond so deep!
Though they may only dance thanks to my pen…
My oath is to never part them again.
