the cooler pipes had to be manhandled a bit to fit around everything, so not surprisingly they didn't match up across the front of the block (having already been bolted to the transmission).

a scissor jack was used to coax them into fitting a bit more nicely.

with a bit of pushing about the RH side of the cooler mounts across the engine block was bolted up nicely....

but the LH side would not mate up. you can see i've just bolted the bracket together to avoid losing it. it's not going anywhere...

with the cooler pipes in place, it was time to change the fluid and filter. unbolting the pan it is nice to see it isn't filled with metal filings, this is a good sign!

and the pan is cleaned, ready to be put back in place!

next: time to turn the key and find out what happens...!
