Since talk is cheap I might as well give an example of a story I've written. But remember the copyright law because I have originals and proof of their dates but if I find out (trust me I will; I'm smarter than the average bear) that someone got the nerve to take it and plagiarize it... I SWEAR! *calming down* alrighty then... Here it is. [a bit mature at least PG-13 for themes]
Leaving
By Sheflows
The rain drip dropped on the top of Rhett’s black echo. It was unusually quiet in the car since his radio finally broke down on him after years of blasting it to the maximum level. He would have to get it fixed sometime. Until then he would just have to enjoy the silence. He turned the corner lightly after the green light came and saw her.
Fay stood with her two suitcases beside her in the rain. The umbrella he gave her for Christmas blocked the lazy liquid from touching her black spiraled hair. He pulled off the road and drove up next to her.
“Need a ride somewhere, stranger?” His golden hazel eyes were as warm as she remembered them. She smiled.
“You know it,” she replied lightly. Rhett opened the passenger seat for her before placing her stuff in the trunk. He started the car back up and returned to the road before looking back at Fay.
“I see Wyler’s still has good aim,” he remarked softly. Her hand went up to her swollen right cheek. The spot was still tender.
“Just drive to my mom’s place.” She turned around to look at the scenery pass so she didn’t have to see the disappointed expression he was bound to give her. He turned left instead of right after the next stop sign and started onto the highway. She sighed softly. He wasn’t going to take her to her mother’s.
“You know that’s the first place is going to look for you,” Rhett answered her sigh. “So no way in hell you’re going there on my watch.”
“Then where are we going to go,
“To my place of course. Julia hasn’t seen you in months.”

The only person in the world who was harder on Fay for staying with Wild Wyler than Rhett was his little sister Julia. Fay showed the idea of meeting up with Julia the same sort of excitement she would give to the prospect of being poked in the eye. She stifled a laugh of joy once they pulled up to the gray town house to see Julia’s matching car missing.
“Don’t think you are off the hook,” he warned her as they stepped into the quiet house. He carried her suitcases one at a time while Fay took in the heat of the living room couch. Rhett cane back shortly with a post it note and a scowl on his face.
“I guess Julia won’t be joining us today?” Fay offered smiled. He glared at her.
“My sister and her new boyfriend are going on some kind of weekend together.” She nodded a little.
“You angry that they didn’t invite you along?” Rhett threw out the post it note and sat on the couch opposite from her.
“No, I’m not.” He took his jacket off and placed it behind him. His dark blonde hair had teardrops swinging from each short spike that slide down the sides of his face and fell onto his stubble lined chiseled jaw. Fay half closed her good eye as the other throbbed.
She needed some ice.
The frozen rectangular prisms were placed in soft Kleenex before touching her ebony skin. She set her own coat in the closet before returning to the couch and lying down. Her feet were aching in a similar beat as her eye. She couldn’t feel anything in the room besides herself and her pain.
“You shouldn’t sleep on the couch without something the basics. It’s hard as hell,” Rhett said walking back into the room with pillows and a thick white comforter. He placed one of the cloud puffs under her feet and then another under her head. His wrist brushed against her stomach as her pulled the material over her body. Then his hand placed itself onto the roundness gently. He stayed like that for a while. Fay breathed in and out tiredly.
“Don’t go back,” he whispered throatily. She patted his hand before squeezing it.

Her lashes were rainbow laced from the sunshine when she woke up. Rhett was awake and staring into space from the chair opposite her. Her eye was still paining her a little but she was able to open it slightly.
“He called” Rhett stated deadpan. Fay’s eye opened a little more.
“Here?” Her anxious tone dripped from the word. She sat up with a hand still stuck to her stomach.
“No, at your mom’s. She started calling through everyone to see where you were so you would know.” She sat up with a hand glued to her stomach.
“Does he know I am here with you?” He rolled his eyes skyward. “Fine, whatever.”
“Wyler told her something interesting too,” Rhett continued with a mild glance at her stomach. She shrugged and lay back down.
“Again, whatever. I’m too hungry for this.” She moved away from the couch and to the kitchen slowly. He was on her heels and slipped in front of the fridge before she could open it.
“He’s not going to take you back even if you go.” Fay wasn’t facing him as he spoke instead her eyes were traveling around the room. “You already know what I heard but I want to hear it from your lips just in case they’re trying to mess with me.” She pulled out a dining room chair and sat down.
“Will it even matter to me if I say yes to whatever you’re assuming?” she asked him blankly. He moved from the fridge and kneeled to her eyelevel.
“What do you think?” It came out a little harsher than he intended but impatience was tugging at one of his ears and desperation at the other. She shoved him to the side.
“We’re both your problem now then, happy?” She went to the fridge and got out some orange juice. Rhett’s knees hurt and his shoulder broke his fall—but he was glowing.
“No, I’m almost happy.” He walked up to her and took off the shiny golden ring on her finger. The piece of jewelry was chucked out of the kitchen window and replaced by his favorite silver one. The removal of his ring left a faint line on his finger as the band twirled up and down Fay’s slender fingers. “Now I am.”
“You’re insane. This doesn’t even fit me and you never take it off.” Fay reasoned. “Anyway it’s rude to give back gifts.” Rhett grinned.
“Just keep it on until I get you one.” She nodded dismissively.
“Alrighty. Leave me to my food.” He stared at her for awhile before flying up to the stairs to his bedroom to make some calls. She held up her right hand and watched as the sun rays danced off the cool metal.
Leaving wasn’t as bad as she thought.
Fin.
This story is a little bit lovers reunion/cheating/abusive relationship exploration. I don’t know if I will expand the story or post it somewhere else… whatever happens next I guess.
