A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL
On Tuesday night, December 2, 2008 classmates from the SHS class of 1957 gathered at the Southland to discuss old times, enjoy a meal and really to talk about our older, not old, classmates. Attending were Juanita Black, David Johnson, George Ingleright, Glenda Ramsey Hale, James Wiley and his wife Debbie, Sara Terry Condra, Albert Kelly and Frank Vetters.
We know that there are several of our classmates out there that are having health problems, but we learned that several such as Sara Terry Condra, John and Dottie Rogers were recovering very nicely from severe problems. So we will hope that all of the 1957 classmates and their families will be able to enjoy the upcoming Christmas Season to the fullest extent.
While we were together, George offered his cell phone and we called Wiley Montana. Wiley is fine and loved hearing from all of us. He said that he is ready for another mini-reunion. So, speaking of another mini-reunion, we concluded that we should have another one in 2009. We are thinking of another one like the last which was an informal get-together where we could visit, bring each other up-to-date and think about old times.
So, if we are to have another mini, Juanita raised the question of when should it be? Is one date better than another, is June a good time, or should we look at other dates? We are asking for your input. If you have a preference let Frank know at Vetters1960@comcast.net or call him at 256 664-4438. Having a reunion is very little trouble for those of us who live in or around Sheffield and we are so very glad to do the work needed. Do you have any suggestions for anything else that should be done at the mini-reunion? Let Frank know so we can begin planning.
Remember, each member of the class of 1957 is very special and we hope to hear from you and better yet, visit with you very soon.
