What does a cow do all day?

This special report was done with Buttercup of Orchard Farms.

My name is Buttercup, I am a Holstein of 8 years. My typical day starts out at 6 A.M. when farmer Brumpty takes the herd out of the barn to let us roam in the pasture. Watching the sunrise over the pasture is one of the things I look forward too. The grass we munch on is a mixture of Alfalfa and grains. After our morning snack, its off to the milking shed. Once there, they attach large vaccums to my udders. If they don't milk me once a day, I will explode. Back to the pastures, munch on some more grass then absorb the latest word around the trough. Today it turned out to be a group of cows headed off to the city! What an exciting trip that must be. It got rather hot today, so the herd and I stood in our pond for a few hours. Time for dinner, Brumpty dropped off a brand new salt lick with a few bales of fresh hay. It was a feast! With my tummy full I head off to bed. I hope you have enjoyed this.
