Welcome to RAD Ranch Rabbitry

Funny bunnies for little money.

Around our farm...

Rabbits are one of the critters that we've had for quite some time now, and they are probably our main interest if the size of the feed bill is any indication!  LOL

We also have AKC Great Pyrenees guardian dogs (and puppies on occasion) to protect our livestock here on the farm from predators, a pet chihuahua named Peppy, and a Burmese Mountain dog who is very strong and would probably lick you to death.  :)  We also have Chinchillas as pets and they are very entertaining.

Life is never dull around here . . . there is always something going on or we are constructing/building an addition to some other livestock interest.  Our cutting and baling hay.  Or working on the farm equipment.

Here are some interesting photos just to show you how funny things keep popping up here on the farm . . .

Look, it's the Easter bunny!  (She liked the nice warm eggs that the chickens would leave on the barn floor some times.)

This is a cocketiel we raised.  He is trying to sing to us in this photo.  He had a very wide vocabulary and was quite a character.

This is one of our AKC Great Pyrenees dogs that we raised up from a pup.

They shed during the heat of summer.   This is Mom pulling out some of clumps of hair.  It comes out very easily and doesn't hurt the dog. She pulled for about 2 or 3 minutes.

This is all the hair she pulled out...LOL!

Some times we "turn loose" rabbits here on the farm and let them run around.  Most of them do better "turned loose" and foraging for the grasses and natural vegetation here than the ones we have penned up and on commercial feed!  Some times we catch them again.  :)  This is Checkers; we released her, and she put on a lot of weight during her growth spurt!

We have alot of dairy goats, too.  This is one of our older bucks nursing on his mommy. :) I think he's a little bit big to still be snitching her milk!

This goat was having fun rubbing on everything.  She would stand still and let you scratch between her horns.

This photo was taken by Candice, who enjoys catching weather-related photos.  It is a cold front that came through.  It was real violent looking; even had greenish blue clouds!  But nothing serious happened.  In fact, we hardly got anything at all.  Just had fun looking at all the pretty colors. :)

Here's a smaller front coming in....
