I have 2 children that still need booster seats at the dinner table. Samuel is just not tall enough to reach his plate without one. We tried....first, he couldn't see what he was eating and was missing most of the food on his plate. Second, a lot of it ended up on the ground where the dog could eat it. I made him a great meal...his favorite, BUT it was ruined, wasted, because he needed to be sitting higher.
I think WE need booster seats too. At least until we grow up. We reach for things without seeing. Then we make a mess of it. Some of us are to be booster seats and some need the boost. I love being the booster, the one that is "under" (not necessarily seen) helping others up. It's true...boosters get "used" a LOT. They may get a little messy from the dropped food. Rarely recognized, just there. When the booster is missing though, some go hungry. Each one of us affects many people we may not even know about. The one we have been boosting may grow up and not need us anymore, but someone else will surely come along and need us. Not everyone is called to be the preacher, just do what you are called to do....even being a booster seat!
