Actually it is a day of rest here (Sunday) and we are forced to take it easy (we will fix the motos Monday morn). We get up late, take another shower, and look in the stocked fridge here at the guest cottage on the Wycliffe mission center. About 10 am Alan comes to see us to tell us about the center and what we might want to do for the day. We plan to speak at the 4:30 service and decide to take a walk around.
It brings back many memories of my childhood at the WBT center in Yarinacocha, Peru, and some for Luke of not too long ago when the similar center in Peru existed
full of friends and life. This center is dwindling as they finish the work in this area of Brazil. No young people Luke´s age.....
We stop at Mike and Jody´s house and end up spending the rest of the day there. What hospitality!!!! We talk with Mike of projects and plans, shared history (they both went to LeTourneau University only a year after I finished). At 4:30 pm we head on over to the center service and share about the trip, the on-going work of ¨Mil Palmeras¨ (the motorcross church) in Peru, and Julio Chiang and his family. We are invited to dinner and hear of the 50 years of work done in the tribal groups by these wonderful folks....
To bed. Lots to do tomorrow...............
