15/11/07 - Final Analysis.

I really wish I could get around to updating this site more, but life just gets in the way sometimes.

First up. Australian Convention Season is over. and speaking personally, thank god. RoboToon issue 1 was released officially at Supanova in Sydney and Armageddon in Melbourne. Myself and the majority of the Ozslaught crew went down to Melbourne for Armageddon. Which turned out to be an unholy nightmare. I won't go into details, cause I really don't want to relive it, but it started with a speeding ticket and emended with a car accident. In a nutshell, never again.

I wouldn't have been quite as upset if Toon had sold well, but I only wound up selling maybe 3 or 4 copies. Most of which I had to bribe people with by doing portraits if they bought the book. The rest of the Ozslaught crew didn't fair much better.

The first issue of Ozslaught was released as well. Once again, speaking personally, I was really unhappy with the final book. I busted my butt trying to get my pages completed in time, and due to unforeseen circumstances, they were not looking their best when finally printed. This sort of thing happens when you leave things last minute. The cover I had created wasn't colour corrected either, so all up it was not a final product that made me especially proud.

On the upside, RoboToon has discovered new life here on home soil. I've sold an extra five or so issues, which has garnered very positive feedback, which has thrill oed me. Toon has been in my life for a long time, so it's quite vindicating for him to finally have some measure of success.

Finally, since I suck so Badly at updating this site, I've created a joint Swashbuckler Studios/Stab Comics Myspace page. IT's still a work in progress, but sign up if you want to know any and all new Film or comic news.

21/6/07 - Oh yeah.

You know what? I honestly forgot this thing was here!

Enough Messing around though. I FINALLY have things up on the other pages. We have some big news and big things happening.

First up - Welcome to Woodville. My first ever published comic was released at Supanova a couple years back, to great acclaim. For last years con, I updated the book, fixed a couple of printing errors, added some extra pages and some special features and re-released it for last years Supanova. Once again, to great acclaim. Which has inspired me to do a sequel. Check the comics link for more info.

Next up - Robotoon. The comic I have been working on for TEN YEARS is finally completed and due to be released at this years Sydney Supanova. I'm making arrangements to hopefully have a few issues available at Melbourne's Armageddon event. If you're heading to either event, keep a look out.

Finally - and this is the big one - OZSLAUGHT. My fellow Comic Creating Cohorts are all banding together to create a massive, multi-issued, cross company crossover event. Envisioned by Foolproof Comics founder and main lunatic Tony Newton, the cross over is a first for Australian Independent publishers. More info on the comics link and the crossovers official site.

So yeah. I've been keeping busy all this time. Just, not on this site.

2/7/06 - Site updated. Slightly.

I now have all the pages for the site up.

There's nothing on any of them, but they're all up there!

Give it time! I'm working on it!!

21/6/06 - A Single Step.

Ever hear that Phrase "A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step"? That guy obviously never flew international.

Bad Puns aside, this is the rather tentative beginning fro the New STaB Comics website. I will - eventually - have more up here to look at, but for now I just wanted something pretty on site.

That's it for now. There's more to come.
