Managers Review Season 2007/08

Cecil Batts Trophy: Winners
Freeland 6 -A- Side: Winners
WDFA 6 -A- Side: Winners
WDFA Primer Division: 3rd

Managers Player Of The Season: Joe Cockroft
Players Player Of The Season: Craig Johnson
Supporters Player Of The Season: Daniel Haggie

Disappointed: We did not go further in the cups, going out in the Junior Shield, Fred Ford,
and Senior League Cup so early hit us hard.

Biggest Surprise: How the new players settled in quickly and improved the performance of
the team. Duncan Griffin stabilised the midfield, Matt Lane gave us a new attacking force
from the right hand side. Joe Cockroft was consistent with his performance every week in
the back four. Liam (Sausage-Roll) Harris made a difference when he came on or started,
with a 100% commitment to win.

Worst Game: Losing to North Leigh away. These 3 points were a gift for them.

Best Game: Freeland away winning 0 v 2. We stepped up to the mark and over with our
performance.

Worst Moment: Missed penalty against AF Hinksey in the Junior Shield.

Best Moment: Final whistle against Freeland away.

The Plan for next season: Organise 4 preseason games to test us. Check out the new players
and try out the younger players coming through. Training has already started, please see
below for details
