Shadows of Night

"Through all those days fought wrong for right, no silence felt like shadow's night."

Shadows of Night

Grensvale, New Jersey. A town shrouded in mystery with its shady past and resounding leap into the 21st century. What was once a small, quiet town is now a bustling tourist hotspot and business escape for those busy executives. From the Grensvale National Forest to the Atlantic Ocean and the Sunset Red Suites, every bit of it is a tourist's town; bustling with activity and the constant money exchange. At times you'll think you're just back east in a hunter's hideaway, but when you see those three gleaming skyscrapers on the shoreline, you know you're in a modernized boom town with millions of dollars hiding away somewhere.

But Grensvale isn't solely known for its attractions, its also known for the strange stories that have come out of there for years, and the sightings of weird so-called "monsters" in the forest darkness. They say vampires hunt the streets, but with so many youths flocking here and painting their faces in the traditionl goth fashion, no one is sure how true these claims are. Alcohol and drugs are a constant in the bustling city of Grensvale, and despite the locals trying desperately to hold onto their woodland culture, those big city pushers seem destined to break their way in; if they haven't already. The Sunset Red Suites and its affiliates already own a good portion of Grensvale, and their revenue continues to increase.

But the stories of dark beings and monsters will not subside. Bodies are found mauled in the woodlands. People show up to the Grensvale Hilltop Hopsital with fang wounds in their necks, and the drug use seems to be skyrocketing. Something people are labelling as "Lady Wolf", a drug that intoxicates the senses and in some cases, causes the user to think he/she is an animal; bringing up issues from the city's dark past.

Despite all the concerns, tourists still flock to Grensvale in the thousands every year. The sights and stories are too much for any rich thrill seeker or ghost hunter to turn down. Plus the population are supposed to be quite sophisticated. So come, head on down to New Jersey and enlighten your senses with the rich tastes of Grensvale, a city shrouded by the Shadows of Night.

Devil's Advocates -

Seems occult activity sure is on the rise in Grensvale... Sightings of strange beings known as "The Six Forbidden" are popping up all over the place. What exactly does the Devil have to do with anything? And why is everyone suddenly so interested in a woman named Jenny Kail???

Seems things are a bit more complicated than everyone realized... Is a Fallen Angel really worth all this trouble? Or is there something more foul going on while the distraction takes its course?

Conspiracy, oh Conspiracy -

Drug use is up, like it's always been, and it's obvious the police force is struggling. But if there are all these people over-dosing...where are the bodies???

And why are the riots becoming even more violent? Who are these people? What drug is this? Lady Wolf? What exactly does it do and how the hell did it get to Grensvale?

People are scared, but not scared enough to realize the homeless and drug users who "disappear" so suddenly. If there is such a problem, how come there aren't communities of them hidden in the woods like back in the 80s?

It has to have something to do with all those weird experiements over at the Hilltop Hospital...nobody gets that far with "invisible" funding... How come the affiliates involved don't want their studies public? There is something seriously twisted going on, and no one seems to care...

Mutation Nation: Sub-plot of Conspiracy, oh Conspiracy - (plot currently on hold)

The workers of Laboratory BR2 have been busy with a 24-year long experiment...one that has yielded miraculous results.

This endeavor was known to very few as the "Warwolf Project", an attempt to mutate common animals into something much more. To cause them to evolve and shift into something with which could be used as a sort of organic weapon to replace common day soldiers.

It had been a success...

The beast was known as Subject D0013 aka "Hewie".

His entire transmutation was a success, and a solid version of the Beast-Lycanthropius serum was developed.

But after all the work that went into the project, Hewie was freed by his own caretaker who supposedly "died" once the creature escaped.

Needless to say...the scientists want "Hewie" back.

No matter the cost...

The Fall of a Planet - (plot currently on hold)

The appearance of a Lich on a planet heralds what some hold akin to the 5th sign of the Apocalypse... There is no escape. The armies will follow. And destruction will be wreathed in flame and blood on all corners of the world.

A Lich has appeared on Earth.

Danger is brewing...

Her scent has not caught the attention of the local Supernaturals...yet. But once she is detected, all hell could break loose.

Will the current Coven and Pack leaders band together to help beat back this imminent threat? Or will the personal squabbles keep their attention from this encroaching doom?
