In spite of not having much to enter for the past two months, I now give you something. The guys over at Penny Arcade (Tycho and Gabe, see the links page) have one-upped Jack. Yes, in a bold move that I couldn't have made, the duo donated all of $10,000 to a charity that Jack Thompson swore he would give the exact amount to. The funniest part of it all? The donation was made in the name of Thompson, himself.
It's rather screwy when a self-proclaimed fighter of justice is being outdone by the self-same community he believes to be so wrong. Not only is it hilarious, it's kind of sad. The man's e-mail is back up, and I encourage you, the gamers, to write him. He's showing obvious signs of losing. He attacks and attacks, but his attacks keep getting weaker. Why allow him to stay up and in some kind of power? Unfrotunately, in today's world, he can do that. He can show whatever idiot-bable he wants, get heard, and even get a talk show. I mean, afterall, they let Dr. Phil McGraw, didn't they?

As of this entry, no word from Jack. He's apparently without power due to Hurricane Katrina and will not be up and at it for a while. Perhaps he's getting his just desserts, eh? In the mean time, I invite you to sign the guestbook and tell me what you're looking for, or at least check out my rants section which is going on strong. Oyasumi nasai!

Well, it seems the Wiki has restored my link, thus allowing a few people to find my site. No word from either Scott, or Jack...but I know Jack's e-mail crashed. Overwhelmed, much?
Anyways, things haven't gone silent yet. This past week, some female thought it her duty to tell me that if no one speaks against Jack, we'll still have video games and their violence. I think not. You see, when no one speaks for another side of an issue, the side that dares to oppose it is automatically right, or so it seems. That's why I dare oppose...to make a voice for myself. Sure, this isn't huge amoung some people, but I dare to do what few others will. I'm making my voice heard, at least...unlike that dear girl who makes it her duty to verbally abash anyone. Too bad, hun...I'm still here to make myself heard, and no amount of opposition can change that.

For reasons I can't explain, the Wiki took down my link. Possibly I didn't save it right? At least Gaia left it up, and I'm hoping that Scott Ramsoomair will give serious deliberation to the link I sent him. Maybe, maybe not...but there's always a chance. I'm serious when I say I'm tired of guys like Jack. I wouldn't mind standing up to him and being a voice on behalf of gamers, everywhere. It's time we got our say, for if we don't, we're going to be silenced.
Now, I hear a lot of people telling me that Jack will be ignored. Not necessarily true. Crazies can get their voices around easily in today's world of fear...especially if he has people like Senators Clinton and Liberman with him. Both are very progressive, and wouldn't mind backing him.
Last night, I was able to talk to a friend of mine. He's been a bit of a "younger brother" figure to me for the past three years now...and I've watched him become very intelligent and outvoiced. For the obvious reason of secrecy, here is our conversation, with him being "Shep". This took place on the Yahoo! Instant Messenger, under my profile that shares the same name of this site:
adrianshepard90 (12:58:11 AM): I just finished reading your article about Jacky. I like it.
shadow_the_evilandgood_hedgehog (12:58:20 AM): Why, thank ya.
adrianshepard90 (12:58:36 AM): It was a nice, formal kick in the balls.
shadow_the_evilandgood_hedgehog (12:58:41 AM): XD
(Next part deleted since it was very offensive, and I don't want to give Jack a reason to try and sue me)
adrianshepard90 (1:00:29 AM): He does indeed seem like an uninformed pissed off idiot.
shadow_the_evilandgood_hedgehog (1:00:51 AM): He is. He's one of those crazy guys who'll do anything for attention.
adrianshepard90 (1:01:56 AM): You might also want to bring up the fact that, when we play games where we're psychos or whatever you will, 10% of it is bad intentional ideas. The 90% is so we can have relief that we don't have to be ourselves for a few minutes.
adrianshepard90 (1:02:52 AM): Look at me. I play TS (The Speicalists, a Half Life Mod.). When I get the chance, I drain the blood from still-standing corpses. How many times have you heard me get high, or cut, or consider school shootings, or anything like that? I'm a friendly, nice guy that alot of people can like. And I've played shooting games since I was eight.
adrianshepard90 (1:05:12 AM): I'd say "I've been this way for years. My parents aren't air-headed, and nor are my acquaintences. Nobody has said I needed help, or needed to go to a mental hospital." Not saying "(and meant it)", because he'd probably go cross-eyed and say something like "I bet they did mean it!"
adrianshepard90 (1:05:55 AM): Stupid (explative deleted) people looking for the nearest random object to put the blame on.
shadow_the_evilandgood_hedgehog (1:06:44 AM): Tacking a solution that doesn't even justify the problem.
adrianshepard90 (1:08:47 AM): I might also want to throw in the fact that there are three firearms owned by the man of the house, and have been owned since a little after my dad retired from the Air Force. I've never even thought of bringing one of them to school, or any place else just to see blood fly.
adrianshepard90 (1:50:26 AM): Which came first? Us, or guns/videogames?
shadow_the_evilandgood_hedgehog (1:50:36 AM): Us.
adrianshepard90 (1:50:48 AM): So how the (explative deleted) did the blame get dicked over guns or videogames?!
It might be noteable that this guy is at the mere age of 14, yet knows more than Jack does on the subject. Funny how someone like Jack is allowed to practice law, isn't it? Maybe this is why we have a bunch of laws that make no sense. For now, my friends, I'm off to the underground. Remember to sign the guestbook and show your support!

As of less than two minutes ago, this page was linked to the Wikipedia (who's link will appear on my link's page). If you're here to see the Jack reports, note that I update often. If you'd like, leave a message in my Guestbook, and I'd appreciate it. As of now, no updates on Jack and my letter to him.

Welcome to my new Jack Thompson section. Seeing as many people across the net are uniting against Mr. Thompson and his backward crusade, I decided that I should share my side with you all.
Now, normally someone like Jack wouldn't catch my attention at all. To me, he would have been just any other Left-Wing Bomb Thrower and not worthy of my time, patience, or thought. However, in a conversation with Scott Ramsoomair (see links page), he made a quote which stated:
"HOnestly, are all of you gamers on drugs, or what?"
Thus is what started a very large, hate-filled fire within me to finally go on the offensive with people like Jack Thompson. What are "his kind", exactly? Uninformed, unlearned, and overrated people who wish to get rich by playing off of other people, mostly to the point where they will latch to any probable mean and suck that source clean. In this case, Jack Thompson is (dare I say it?) victimizing his very clients. He plays off the mental anguish they suffer and makes a sum of money on the case. Illustration:
Johnny Nogood is an inverted, ostracized child with a bad background, filled with abuse and other problems. He has the tendency to strike his parents, teachers, friends, and siblings when he is angered. Johnny recently pestered his mother to buy him a game (for a hit-home, let's say it's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas) to which she did, without looking at the label or checking it's background. Johnny goes on with his normal tendencies, still not being corrected by any supposed authority.
One day, Johnny decides that he is tired of being picked on at school and takes a trip to his father's room. His father owns a Smith and Wesson revolver, which he keeps in a spot where Johnny knows it is, along with the ammunition. Johnny takes the loaded pistol to school and massacres 4 children, a teacher, and finally turns the weapon on himself.
His mother upset and unsure of what to do, and not wanting to get the blame for anything, she hires Jack Thompson to sue Rockstar North for creating the self-same game she bought prior to the shooting. Mr. Thompson takes the case, construing the background of everything. Johnny was well-known as a hoodlum before, but Jack makes him to be a saint. Jack blames Rockstar North for making Johnny desensitized, calling it a military tactic. After winning the case and getting Mrs. Nogood her sum, Jack gets his share of the money and goes back to crusading against games made in all genres.
Now, you may see that illustration as hilarious, but it's a serious one. Jack will take a case just to gain media attention and to gain funds. He will not defend himself properly and often will go into ad hominem (Where one argues about the man presenting the question, not the question itself. With Thompson, usually something along the lines of their sanity.) insults. Mr. Thompson uses misconstrued facts and will blatantly lie as to gain the favor of an individual and sway them to his views. He will also say that someone has Tourette's Syndrome as an argument toward someone who disagrees with him, despite the lack of substantial evidence (which personally disgusts me that he would use a disease to mock someone. That disease is no laughing matter). He will ignore when he is corrected and will dodge the issue all together, showing that he will not accept that he is human and capable of error. The most intriguing of his tactics is hiding behind the Florida Cyberstalker law as a means of getting out of an argument. Odd how one will threaten, yet not accept a threat back, no?
Now, why did I take personal offense to that quote listed above? With that comes knowledge of my personal being. As of right now, I'm 19 years of age. I'm a highschool graduate with honors, listed in the 2004 Edition of the book Who's Who In American Highschools? for my achievements in academic excellence. I can say without a doubt in my mind that I've never taken anything to impair myself in any way, shape, or form nor will I ever (that is to say, I've never used a controlled substance to get a "high". Nor have I touched any illegal narcotic in my life). I was personally offended that Mr. Thompson would brand someone like myself who loves to play a game as a "drug addict" and "insane". I dare retort that Mr. Thompson himself should be mentally evaluated to ensure that he's not "calling the teakettle black". To further myself, I am also an enlisted personnel member of a local rescue squad, in which I'm trying to obtain an EMT-I (Emergency Medical Technician- Intermediate) degree. It is well documented that any member of a state job be it volunteer or nay will be discharged and unable to obtain positions of value in any governmental role.
After reading that quote, I alerted several of my online friends, showing them this blatant, disrespectful attack on Mr. Ramsoomair (whom I support and agree with to the utmost). In the means that are supported by my First Amendment rights, and with the invitation to e-mail him anyway, I gladly sent an e-mail (Titled: "Your Sudden Interest in Legal Pursuits") to Mr. Thompson on how I felt without any threat to his person. The e-mail was sent to him, and a blind carbon copy (BCC) to Mr. Ramsoomair. It was also sent to at least three others who expressed that they would like to view the material. This is it's first public post:
