On-line Gallery of works by John Dyhouse

In this section I will put some of the "copies" of famous paintings that I have done for fun, or to try and learn a specific technique. The first is:-

I call this Promenade

from a painting by August Macke titled, "Lady In A Green jacket". My version is perpetrated in pastel on card.

Girl with pink flowers

This one was from a painting by Alexej Von Jawlensky, titled "Girl With Peonies"

Again this is in pastels. To my embarrassment, I cropped the hat to put this into a frame for one of the group exhibitions.

Copied from an early work by PICASSO

Again in pastel and again cropped for an exhibition

The winged man

another pastel copied from a painting of the same name by Odilon Redon

The Scream

This must be one that needs no introduction by Edvard Munch. I drew it in ink and then some time later added water colour washes, again for an exhibition. I remember it was a couple of years ago just at the time that the original was stolen from the museum in Oslo.
