The fallen tree

Pastel on card, this is the sort of image I enjoy painting. Lots of detail but almost abstract in quality.I can be as free as I like and it never looks wrong, perhaps I should learn to draw more accurately?

Aberporth; across the beach

watercolour on bockingford paper (300gsm). An ACEO (art cards, editions & originals) painting, size = 3.5 X 2.5 inches.

sunrise across the moors

this photograph has been reduced to ACEO dimensions, the original was a 20 X 16 watercolour painting. This is one that was done from my imagination, although I had painted something very similar just prior to this. I was thinking of offering it on eBay as a limited edition print

Welsh Village

We stayed in the last cottage in this row for a holiday one rainy summer: the name of the village was Cwm Cych. And this really does show the whole of the main part of the village except for outlying farms. And in case you are wondering, yes it does have a pub - the red sign indicates the door.

farmhouse under a cloud

this is another painting that I enjoyed doing, I actually did several in a series varying the colours and detail. Great practice. Watercolour on bockingford, size approx. 12 X 8 inches

Birmingham's Terror

A painting inspired by a newspaper photograph of the Birmingham tornado of 2005. . The photo was taken from the Hopwood service station on the M42. Watercolour, size approx 10 X 8 inches

watercolour, probably my first watercolour - holds lots of memories for me

is my daddy coming home

one of the very earliest of my watercolours, it holds many memories for me, not least is the fact that it hung on my mother's wall for a number of years before she succumbed to alzheimers, it means a lot to me.
