The aim of this site is to be a service to all walkers and not just those within the society. We have put
various pieces of information within the site that would be useful to all walkers and some recollections of walks we have done ourselves, either organised or otherwise to share with others.
We don´t profess to be the best walkers in the world or the most proficient map readers but we enjoy the modest distances we manage to achieve and we tackle this outdoor stuff from the perspective of ordinary(?) blokes enjoying the countryside.

I know, I know, its ages since I've updated the site so I'm getting my finger out and getting started. So, the story so far.....
Well, we survived the Allendale Challenge once again and as you can tell by the photo of Kilhope Law great weather yet again. Luckily the NOTSRT lads didn't see the sprint finish and rugby style tactics that were put into play in the closing yards of this years event.
Took part in the first Northumberland Coastal Challenge, fantatsic weather, great scenery and well organised. Would reccomend this one, may even do it again next year.
The Hadrian Challenge is now just round the corner and preparations have started... boots, socks, blister plasters, aspirin, blister plasters, chocolate, blister plasters!!! Hope the weather holds and we have some of what April gave us. Oh, did I mention blister plasters!
