The Shawnee Gem & Mineral Society is a not for profit
organization. The purpose of the club is to promote the study and
appreciation of rocks, gems, minerals and fossils. We teach AFMS Code
of Ethics.We teach each other any and all relevant techniques.
Regular meetings are the first Tuesday of each month, 5:30 for juniors 6:30 for regular membership meetings.
We meet at Shawnee Library, 101 North Philadelphia Street, Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Members of the club will
go to other groups and clubs to put-on programs outside of club
meetings. Members will also work to help other clubs put on a show by,
Working Demo's and Silent and live Auctions and other places as needed.
