I suppose I must compose a message of welcome, although I highly doubt that this horrid website dedicated to A Series of Unfortunate Events will receive any visitors, for like sky diving, running with scissors, and eating fried chicken without a napkin near by, viewing this site is quite dangerous. So I suggest that you leave immediately, before it's too late.

>>The Nameless Novel

Finally a site to help ease the tension of waiting for the twelfth book, thenamelessnovel.com. On the site is a calender which, after you click on the day, reveals clues to the next installment in the Snicket series. All you have to do is answer a few questions, and a new piece of the puzzle is given to you.
Here are the clues that have been given so far (please note that answers to all clues/questions/riddles will need to be highlighted to be seen, as I do not want to give anything away to anyone who wants to find the answers for themselves)

July 27: You are presented with a letter which has a secret code in it, once you find the code, click send and you will get a piece of a paper.
Answer: From that sad age, one sad page

July 28: You must correctly identify this person.
He is plagued by a terrible cough.
In the words of Mr. Snicket, he “meant well, but a jar of mustard probably also means well and would do a better job of keeping the Baudelaires out of danger.”
He is the Vice President of Orphan Affairs at Mulctuary Money Management.
Answer:Mr. Poe

August 2: You have reached a Vernacularly Fastened Door. Only entering the correct series of phrases will open it.
Phrase #1: The title of Chapter One in Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
Phrase #2: The name of the failed organization of well-read leaders that a noble man named Woodrow Wilson hoped in 1919 would bring peace to the world forever.
Phrase #3: An extremely important scientific discovery made in 1905 by a man named Albert with outrageously messy white hair.
Answers:Through the Rabbit-hole; League of Nations; Theory of Relativity

August 5: You must consult your Commonplace Book to answer these questions.
1) What cured, fruit-based ingredient other than capers is required to make Pasta Puttanesca?
2) What was the alleged surname of the arsonist cow that began the Great Chicago Fire?
3) What knot does Violet Baudelaire frequently use in her inventions?
4) What V.F.D. rule was broken by the sad fate of Jacques Snicket?
5) What Russian literary figure do some people believe to be almost as unfortunate as the Baudelaire orphans?
Answers:olives; O'Learly; Devil's Tongue; 201; Anna Karenina

August 7: You must correctly identify this person.
He loves bananas.
Violet Baudelaire was his student in Room One.
In the words of Mr. Snicket, he has “a dark and thick mustache, as if somebody had chopped off a gorilla’s thumb and stuck it above [his] lip.”
Answer:Mr. Remora

Well that's all for now, but I'll be sure to keep you updated on the rest of the clues as they come!

>>New news on the Grim Grotto
The official cover for the Grim Grotto has finally been released and you can see it here. This is truly official...not like the one before that conveniently had no artwork. And some more information on the Grim Grotto. Thank you to Francie for this: the message that will appear on the back cover of the book.
Dear Reader,

Unless you are a slug, a sea anemone, or mildew, you probably prefer not to be damp. You might also prefer not to read this book, in which the Baudelaire siblings encounter an unpleasant amount of dampness as they descend into the depths of despair, underwater.

In fact, the horrors they encounter are too numerous to list, and you wouldn't want me even to mention the worst of it, which includes mushrooms, a desperate search for something lost, a mechanical monster, a distressing message from a lost friend, and tap dancing.

As a dedicated author who has pledged to keep recording the depressing story of the Baudelaires, I must continue to delve deep into the cavernous depths of the orphans' lives. You, on the other hand, may delve into some happier book in order to keep your eyes and your spirits from being dampened.

June 9

>>More Info on the Sets
Click here to get more indepth descriptions of the movie sets. This article goes into much more detail than the older article I found a while ago. I'm sure that you will find this information quite valuable and interesting
Thank you to Francie for showing this link to me!

June 4

>>OFFICIAL MOVIE TRAILER!!!!!
Yes that's right! As I was watching Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban today, I was extremely shocked to see the official trailer. And you can watch it here! I'm much happier with this trailer than the TV Spot. I'm starting to get very excited about the movie! (though it will most certainly be full of misery and woe)

May 26

>>New Pictures!
You can find new pictures of the SOUE movie here. From there, simply enter the website, and click on the Awful Image Gallery. There you will find never before seen photographs of Uncle Monty, Mr. Poe, Count Olaf's acting troupe, as well as new images of Cout Olaf himself and the three Baudelaire orphans. If you have a sensitive stomach, please refrain for viewing these horrid pictures.

>>The Grim Grotto?
Could it be? The long awaited cover of The Grim Grotto? Does this sound too good to be true...well it very well may be, but this cover art has been floating around the internet and appears on all websites selling the novel. You can take a look at it for yourself here if you dare. But once you get there you might see a slight problem, the art is "too depressing to show"...

May 20
>>Lemony Snicket Sets
There is now a detailed description of the four of the sets for Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events which can be found here. The sets include what seems to Lousy Lane, Briny Beach, Curdled Cave, and Damocles Dock.

April 2
>>Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events TV Spot is Here
Here is a dreadful preview of what could be the most depressing movie of the entire year. Simply click on the "TV Spot" button to view.

March 30
>>Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events will be released, which here means, available for public viewing, in theaters on December 17, 2004. You may not yet purchase tickets, but when the time comes, I would advise you to buy them as soon as possible, as this is likely to be a very popular, and terrible, movie.
